Manga Review: Secret Vol. 3

I've finished "Secret Vol. 3" by Yoshiki Tonogai.

The tension among the survivors of the bus accident reaches its threshold as the one-week deadline finally arrives. The three killers may have confessed, but does this mean that all their sins are accounted for?

What truly constitutes a crime? Or to what extent is an action criminal? When the gavel falls on their sentences, perhaps all might not be as it seems.

My Review:

This series really plays with your mind and it's characters are quite creepy and unpredictable.

In this volume we finally find out who the traitor is and it's not safe to take off by yourself since you usually wind up dead.  Things aren't what it seems and the 2nd Judgement is quite twisted.

My Review:

This manga deals with psychological matters that involves the 7 deadly sins.  Hiro was in love with a friend who is dating his older brother.  He was going to let her know how he felt after telling his brother their date is an hour later.  Now he has to overcome the guilt his brother died in an accident.  When he wakes up from his flashback he finds himself handcuffed and with a mask over his head.  He manages to break free and go down a corridor and finds other teenagers with masks over their heads and they are locked up.

While in this room he learns the true nature of the Judge Game only four survivors will live and every hour everyone has to choose someone as sacrifice to die by a majority of votes.  Hiro doesn't believe that anyone has to die and the solution is to vote for themselves and someone will be looking for them soon.

This is a very satisfying psychological murder mystery and it keeps you guessing who the actual killer is among the survivors and who is running the show.

My Review:

Rabbit Doubt is the newest game rage which is a mobile phone game.  Players are rabbits and they must flush out the wolf disguised as a rabbit before falling prey to them (killed).  A group of teens decide to meet offline for fun but didn't expect to lose consciousness and wake up trapped in a warehouse with mysterious bar codes on their bodies and a hanging corpse in front of them.

I really enjoyed this manga because of the well drawn illustrations, the intriguing storyline and the graphic details of the murders (not to graphic) that implies what happened to the victim.
