PNR Review: Undead and Unstable (Undead/Queen Betsy) [Hardcover]

I've finished "Undead and Unstable" the 11th book in her Betsy Taylor series.

My Review:

Betsy is finally come home after her visit to Hell with her sister to find her cat dead and a living zombie in her house.  Betsy went back in time to prevent the horrible future she feels responsible for which results in a tampered present timeline  .  In this timeline she finds out Marc is a living zombie, Nick Berry is called Dick and his married to Jessica who is pregnant.

She is visited by Satan and her future self but both won't tell her how she managed to set this awful future.  They advise her to get off her butt and do something to prevent this from happening.

I didn't really like how Jessica's pregnancy and how she looked was constantly brought up!

I've finished "Wolf at the Door" the 1st book in her spin-off of the Undead series by MaryJanice Davidson.

My Review:

Michael Wyndham the pack leader asks his cousin Rachael Velvela an accountant to move to St. Paul from Cape Cod to watch over Betsy the Vampire Queen she can't say no.  She's isn't happy though!

When she gets to St. Paul she meets up with another werewolf who works at The Chamber of Commerce who gives her a client list and shown where she is suppose to live.  She starts settling in and loves her new apartment.

Edward the human geek lives with a vampire and a vampire Slayer Greg and Boo (aka Ghost). He doesn't leave the apartment because he's afraid they won't want him back.  He reads Betsy's monthly newsletter and is shocked about it so he decides to scope out the mansion.

While at the Barnes and Noble he bumps into Rachael and there is instant attraction which leads into a whirlwind passionate affair.  Then Edward catches Rachael entering the vampire mansion he confronts her and they get into it.  When a series of murders occur with the people on Rachael's client list both Rachael and Betsy figure out something fishy is going on.  They both decide to work together to flush out the murderer.

Wow the romance between Rachael and Edward was really hot and heavy with humorous moments.  I didn't really feel for these two characters because Rachael was a little too prickly and sarcastic for me and Edward was too much of a wimp.

I've just finished reading "Undead and Unwelcome" the 8th book in her Queen Betsy
series by MaryJanice Davidson.
