PNR Review: Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance) [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Rogue Rider" the 4th book in her Lords of Deliverance series by Larissa Ione.

Product Description

They're here.

They ride.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell's minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride.

ROGUE RIDER

Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues - and falls for-a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming, and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man whom Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man who can be very dangerous.

Reseph may not know why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbors are killed, and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: Can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?

About the Author

A former meteorologist and EMT, Air Force veteran Larissa Ione now gets her daily dose of excitement from vampires, werewolves, demons, and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. She lives in wintery Wisconsin with her U.S. Coast Guard husband, her teenage son, a rescue cat, and her hellhound, a King Shepherd named Hexe.

My Review:

Jillian Cardiff has moved to a remote mountain town after a horrific demon attack that she almost died from.  Instead she rescues and falls for a handsome, charming, funny, witty and protective man who doesn't remember who he is except for his name.  He is everything she is looking for in a man but she is wary of starting a relationship after being burned.

Reseph doesn't remember how he appeared in Jillian's life but he knows deep down that he wants to stay in it.  When her neighbors are killed by demons and demon hunters come calling he believes he has put Jillian in danger.  Then it is revealed that Reseph is the horseman Pestilence who is responsible for ravaging the world him and Jillian must face their greatest challenge together.

I really like Reseph because he's a sexy bad boy who is a player but he stops his ways when he meets Jillian.  He only wants her and their love scenes were very hot, erotic and steamy especially the one in the stables.  He's very protective of her and you can see the love he has for his brothers, sister and their spouses and family.

PNR Review: Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance) [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Lethal Rider" the 3rd book in her Lords of Deliverance series by Larissa Ione.

Product Description

They're here.

They ride.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell's minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride

LETHAL RIDER

Demon-slayer Regan Cooper never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage at being betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he's ever wanted - a family.

My Review:

Thanatos is one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and also bears the name Death.  He has been immobilized by his family for the last eight months.  All he wants is sex and the death of a certain female named Regan who robbed him of his virginity.

Regan Cooper is an Aegis Hunter and a Sigil member who drugged Thanatos to get pregnant with his baby.  She manages to become pregnant but she knows that Thanatos is out to get her.

When Thanatos realizes she is pregnant with his child he kidnaps her and takes her to his castle to protect her.  As soon as Thanatos lets his guard down he is betrayed within and it really hurts him.  As Thanatos tries to keep Regan alive they both fall in love.

Even though Thanatos promises Regan with dire circumstances, revenge sex and other threats he treats her with gentleness and kindness.

PNR Review: Immortal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, Book 2) [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Immortal Rider" the 2nd book in her Lords of Deliverance series by Larissa Ione.

Product Description

The signs are everywhere ... disastrous world events. Evil rising up, unleashed upon the innocent. The prophecies were there...but no one listened. Until now. The time has come for those who can either usher in Doomsday ... or prevent it. They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Arik Wagner, a soldier with the U.S. Army's paranormal unit, the R-XR, kissed a girl and liked it. And then he went to hell as punishment. Where he's spent weeks being tortured ... and plotting revenge.

Limos, Horsewoman of the Apocalypse, isn't your average girl. She's immortal, dangerous, and her fiancé is Satan himself. In a moment of weakness, she gave in to her desire and kissed Arik, triggering her fiancé's wrath - and his claim on her. In order to save Arik, and the world, Limos must make a dangerous pact with her recently turned evil brother, Pestilence. A deal that might just cost her her soul ... and her heart.

My Review:

When Arik Wagner kissed Limos the girl he really wants he was literally sent to hell and tortured.  His bones are broken, starved near death and practically almost killed won't make him say her name and he thinks it's worth the torture for that one kiss.

Limos is the sister of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and dealing with the duties of being one of the Horsemen.  She starts falling in love with Arik and is determined to rescue him and being with him for all eternity.  She also has to strike a deal with her deadly brother Pestilence to make sure her secret isn't revealed to her other two brothers.

Wow a lot of was happening in this book and it was very fast paced and exciting.  I felt really sorry for Arik during his torture scenes especially when he is healed and then tortured again.

I'm really glad that Ares and Thanatos didn't blame Limos when they found about her secret and the strong bond they have wasn't shattered.

Thanatos sure took a beating in this one from Regan the Guardian and I can't wait to read his story "Lethal Rider".

My Review:

Each of the Four horseman have their own Seal and agimortus, a trigger that will break the Seal. It can be a person, event or object. In Sin Undone, the last book in Larissa Ione's Demonica series, a Seal was broken and Pestilence was released on to the world. Eternal Rider takes place 6 months later with the fight to keep Pestilence from finding Ares' agimortus and destroying it. For Ares, his agimortus is inside of a fallen angel but when his brother starts killing fallen in order to break the Seal and release War, it is transferred into a human Cara.

Cara gets called out into the night to heal a dog who is hit by a car and shot. She's human, but with the little known ability to heal animals. Turns out that dog is a Hellhound puppy. He is so happy to be saved, he gives her 'Hell's Kiss' -- tying their life forces together and pushing her into the supernatural world. Ares meets her while hot on the trail after the fallen angel who carries his seal. But when the fallen angel passes his seal to Cara, Ares takes her back to his home to protect her. Humans are not strong enough to carry a seal, but due to Hell's Kiss hopefully Cara will hold out a bit longer to allow time to find another fallen angel to transfer.

Really enjoyed the time spent on the Horseman legend as well as finding out more about the Horsemen themselves and getting a more in depth look into the demon world and its creatures.

A truly awesome ending and I loved how Larissa Ione tied in her Demonica series to the Lords of Deliverance.  It was so great to see the whole gang interacting and helping Ares and Cara with their fight.

Can't wait till Immortal Rider comes out in December.

My Review:

I highly recommend this series if you love your paranormals with a great storyline and well written characters.

Sin is the only female Seminus demon who has a special talent just like her brothers (she can kill with one touch) but something goes wrong and she creates a viris that is killing warhogs. She feels responsible and has trouble getting close to her brothers though she is close to Lore.  Everytime she gets close to someone they leave her or die.  I love her character because she can kick ass and dish out insults like there is no tomorrow!  She has had a rough childhood and you learn more about it in this book!

Con is a half vampire and half werewolf who is a loner and doesn't have that many friends!

I will write more later, so please check back, thanks!

Ecstasy Unveiled (The Demonica Series)

I've just finished reading "Ecstasy Unveiled" the 4th book in her Demonica series by Larissa Ione.

Product Description

A DEMON ENSLAVED

Lore is a Seminus half-breed demon who has been forced to act as his dark master's assassin. Now to earn his freedom and save his sister's life, he must complete one last kill. Powerful and ruthless, he'll stop at nothing to carry out this deadly mission.

AN ANGEL TEMPTED

Idess is an earthbound angel with a wild side, sworn to protect the human Lore is targeting. She's determined to thwart her wickedly handsome adversary by any means necessary-even if that means risking her vow of eternal chastity. But what begins as a simple seduction soon turns into a passion that leaves both angel and demon craving complete surrender.

Torn between duty and desire, Lore and Idess must join forces as they battle their attraction for each other. Because an enemy from the past is rising again-one hellbent on vengeance and unthinkable destruction.

My Review:

Idess was a great match for Lore because she was a kick ass heroine who could really defend for herself.  She didn't take any crap from anyone and could dish it out too!

Lore was also a great character because he didn't really want to kill Kynan but only because he was forced to try to kill him (he loves his family).

The killers were quite disgusting and vile and I'm glad they got their comuptance!

Desire Unchained: A Demonica Novel (The Demonica Series) (Mass Market Paperback)

I've just finished reading "Desire Unchained" the 2nd book in her Demonica series by Larissa Ione.

Product Description

Pleasure is their ultimate weapon . . .

But she couldn't resist the unbelievable passion that burned between them, a passion that died when she discovered his betrayal and found herself forever changed. Now, determined to make Shade pay for the transformation that haunts her, Runa searches for him, only to be taken prisoner by his darkest enemy.

A Seminus Demon with a love-curse that threatens him with eternal torment, Shade hoped he'd seen the last of Runa and her irresistible charm. But when he wakes up in a dank dungeon chained next to an enraged and mysteriously powerful Runa, he realizes that her effect on him is more dangerous than ever.

As their captor casts a spell that bonds them as lifemates, Shade and Runa must fight for their lives and their hearts-or succumb to a madman's evil plans.

My Review:

I liked the chemistry between Shade and Runa.
