ARC Review: One Day in Apple Grove [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "One Day in Apple Grove" by C.H. Admirand.

Product Description

Welcome to Apple Grove, Ohio (pop. 597), a small town with a big heart.

Caitlin Mulcahy loves her family. She really does. But sometimes they can drive her to her last shred of sanity — from her dad ("I'm not meddling, I just want what's best for you") to her eight-months-pregnant older sister to her younger sister, who will do just about anything to avoid real work. Cait just needs to get away, even if for only an hour.

When she sees someone in need of help on the side of the road, of course she's going to pull over. She might even be able to fix his engine — after all, the Mulcahy family is a handy bunch. She's not expecting that former Navy medic Jack Gannon and a little black puppy named Jameson will be the ones who end up rescuing in her.

I've finished "Jesse" the 3rd book in The Secret Life of Cowboys trilogy by C.H. Admirand.

Fiercely protective of her little girl, Danielle isn't about to let Jesse get anywhere close enough to hurt either of them, no matter how much longing she sees in his eyes ...

My Review:

Jesse Garahan is the youngest of three brothers and he is recovering from a recent heartbreak.  He believed he was in love but his obsession was only interested in him as a friend.  He is feeling a little jealous of his brother's women's and what they are experiencing at the Circle G.

One day when he is returning home he spots a car stalled on the side of the road.  Danielle Brockway with her adorable pink cowgirl daughter Lucy are in trouble.  Jesse realizes that Danielle is going to do a big NO-NO by removing her radiator cap from a overheated car.  Jesse takes matters into his own hands and is becomes Lucy's cowboy hero.

Danielle is recently divorced and has moved with Lucy to live with her Uncle Jimmy in Pleasure.  He owns a diner and is known to make the best pies in Pleasure.  Both Danielle and Lucy were abandoned by her cowboy ex-husband who only thinks of himself and didn't want to be saddled with a wife and daughter.

Jesse is instantly attracted to the little blond but he's afraid to give his heart after being left heartbroken.  As Jesse gets to know Danielle and Lucy more he realizes she is the one for him and stops denying how he feels.

Danielle is afraid to get involved with another cowboy but she sees the way he treats Lucy and how devoted he is to his brothers and their wives.

I highly recommend this book if you like a sweet cowboy romance with a likeable hero and heroine and an adorable cowgirl who will melt your heart.

My Review:

Tyler the eldest Garahan has retired as a dancer at the Lucky Star Club and is living with Emily at the family ranch.  Dylan is the newest Garahan dancer strutting his stuff as a favor for Jolene Langley, Emily's cousin.

During his routine three women walk into the Club and one is blindfolded which he lassos in.  Her friends remove the blindfold and Dylan reels her into his arms.  Her name is Ronnie DelVecchio and she isn't too happy about it but once Dylan kisses her in front of everyone she finally gives into the kiss and enjoys it.  Dylan takes one look at the gorgeous brunette with the green eyes and knows he wants her.

Dylan is determined to make Ronnie his but even though she is attracted to Dylan she makes sure to deter his advances because of the family curse.  Also she has to deal with the vandalism of her shop The Guilty Pleasures.  The thing is Dylan is the Garahan brother who is going to rebuild her shop and she agrees to cook for them in exchange.

The banter between Ronnie and Dylan was very steamy so when they both finally give into their desires you know it will be hot and sexy.

Loved the setup of Jesse's back story and can't wait to for his book to be released.

ARC Review: Tyler (The Secret Life of Cowboys) [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Tyler" the 1st book in her Secret Life of Cowboys series by C.H. Admirand.

Product Description

Desperate times call for desperate measures...

When Tyler Garahan said he'd do anything to save his family's ranch, he never thought that would include taking a job as a stripper at a local ladies' club. But the club's fiery redheaded bookkeeper captures Tyler's attention, and for her, he'll swallow his pride...

And one good turn deserves another...

Emily Langley feels for the gorgeous cowboy. It's obvious that he's the real deal and wouldn't be caught dead in a ladies' revue if he wasn't in big trouble. And when he looks at her like that, she'll do anything to help...

Working days on the ranch and nights at the ladies' club, Tyler is plumb exhausted. But could it be that his beautiful boss needs him just as much as he needs her...

My Review:

Tyler was a sexy and strong cowboy with manners.  He stood up for Emily when the town tried to shut her down.

Emily was quite timid at the beginning but as the story progressed she grew.  She's running from an ex-husband and a very bad marriage.

I really enjoyed the banter between the characters and I thought it was funny when Emily would be cooking and she would always get food on her chest.  Tyler would always notice and stare!

Wow the love scenes were very hot and sexy!
