RS Review: Sweet Justice: A Last Chance Rescue Novel [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Sweet Justice" the 7th book in her Last Chance Rescue series by Christy Reece.

Product Description

Honor Stone is a young, idealistic FBI agent when her path collides with Seth Cavanaugh. For a girl who has never walked on the wild side, the dark and dangerous Seth is a temptation she can’t refuse. But then Seth walks out the door and out of her life. Five years later, Honor is an operative with the elite Last Chance Rescue organization and Seth is a desperate ex-cop searching for his missing niece — one of many young women who have mysteriously vanished from college campuses. Going undercover, Honor will attract the maniacal cult leader behind the kidnappings and find a way to work with Seth — while steering clear of the passion and need that’s just one touch away from explosion. Seth knows he had all the right reasons for the wrong he did five years ago. And from the moment he sees her — and takes her in his arms again — this former undercover man will risk everything for one more chance with Honor.

About the Author

Christy Reece is a member of Romance Writers of America and International Thriller Writers. She lives in Alabama with her husband, two adorable canines, and one very shy turtle. Sweet Justice is the first novel in her new three-book Last Chance Rescue series.

My Review:

Five years ago Seth Cavanaugh was working undercover to gather evidence against viscous drug kingpin Hector Clemmings.  He knew getting evolved with Honor Stone would be a mistake but he couldn't resist the temptation.  He wanted to protect Honor and his family from harm so he walked away from all of them.

Honor Stone was a young idealistic FBI agent who decided to walk on the wild side with the hot and dangerous Seth.  She was devastated when he left and walked away from their love.  Now she is working with Last Chance Rescue.

Five years later Seth gets a frantic call from his older brother Joel informing him that his daughter Kelli has been missing from college for a week.  Even though he is angry with Seth for the hurt he caused his family he knows he would do anything for his niece.

Seth hires Last Chance to help and is surprised to find out that Honor works for them.  They are forced to work together to figure out who has kidnapped his niece.  As they investigate they find out that other girls have been kidnapped and vanished never to be seen again.  Then they get a break and find a girl's body but the police don't think it's related.

This book was very emotionally intense with a truly gripping storyline, heart-wrenching love story and viscous vile killers.

WARNING:  There is incest in this story so if you don't like this kind of thing I highly recommend you don't read this book.

Run to Me: A Novel (Mass Market Paperback)

I've finished reading "Run to Me" the 3rd book in her Last Chance Rescue series by Christy Reece.

Product Description

ONE LAST CHANCE

Driven by grief and fury, Shea Monroe, an operative for Last Chance Rescue, goes deep undercover, vowing vengeance against the man who killed her husband. Instead, she ends up a captive and the unwilling weapon of a vicious human trafficker. But then she is rescued from her den of terror and shame by her husband’s best friend, Ethan Bishop, a man Shea feels irrevocably drawn to, despite her having lost all memory of her life before she was captured.

Having saved Shea from a madman, Ethan will do anything to keep her safe, but he can’t allow the feelings he once had for her to resurface. While recovering from her ordeal and regaining her lost memory, Shea begins to fall for Ethan. But the treachery and tragedies of the past won’t leave either of them alone. And from Mexico, a monster has sent his foot soldiers to seize Shea–using a weapon beyond anyone’s worst nightmare.

My Review:

I highly recommend reading this series if you love fast paced and sexy romantic suspense books.

Ethan and Shea are made for each other and they compliment each other so well.

Rescue Me: A Novel (Mass Market Paperback)

I've just finished reading "Rescue Me" the 1st book in her Last Chance Rescue series by Christy Reece.

Product Description

A covert operative of Last Chance Rescue (LCR) Enterprises, Eden St. Claire has made secrets her life’s work. Seven years ago, an evening of emotional vulnerability and pure pleasure almost destroyed her. Now Eden wears her beauty like a mask, concealing any hint of vulnerability or the demons of her past.

A daring rescue of an innocent girl on a Greek island leads Eden to a new partner. Jordan Montgomery has been looking for Eden–though he knows her by another name, from another time. But his search for her is overshadowed by a case that’s gone international. A powerful, ruthless, organized network is stealing women and children around the world. And a lover, a traitor, and a killer all wait for Eden’s next move.

About the Author

After eighteen years, Christy Reece left her career at a major insurance company and pursued her dream of writing. She holds a BSW from the University of Memphis and is a member of Romance Writers of America and International Thriller Writers. Christy Reece lives in Alabama with her husband, two adorable canines, and one very shy turtle. Rescue Me is her first novel in a three-book series.

My review:

I recommend reading this series if you like romantic suspense books with a little spice.

Eden was such a great heroine to Jordan's hero because she didn't take any flak from him and could dish it out too!  Glad to see she survived her traumatic tragedy and could kick butt and one of LCR's great agents.

I thought Jordon was quite rude and disrespectful in a couple of scenes where he calls Eden whore and other vile names, etc.

Return to Me: A Novel (Mass Market Paperback)

I've just finished reading "Return to Me" the 2nd book in her Last Chance Rescue series by Christy Reece.

Last Chance Rescue (LCR) Enterprises founder Noah McCall "owns" Samara Lyons as he dominates her dreams although they live in separate states and she has no hope of really making it with him as his demons going back to childhood have left him heartless. When he arrives in her hometown in Alabama, she is stunned as the real person is even better than her memorable fantasies. Noah pleads with Samara to assist him in his efforts to rescue kidnapped girls snatched by online predators. Samara agrees to be the bait and goes undercover to identity the culprits.

Nothing goes as planned. Instead of capturing the criminals, they kidnap Samara. They torture her as Noah's past threatens the woman he always loved; he is willing to die to free his Samara.

My Review:

I really enjoyed reading this book and now I need to find the other two in this series.

Noah and Samara are such a great couple!
