ARC Review: Honky Tonk Christmas [Mass Market Paperback]
I've finished "Honky Tonk Christmas" by Carolyn Brown.
Product Description
One cowboy, one bar, one hell of a holiday!
She Means business...
Sharlene Waverly is determined to have the "new and improved" Honky Tonk up and running before the holiday. For that, she'll need Holt Jackson, the best darn carpenter in the state. But his warm, whisky-colored eyes make her insides melt, and before she knows it, she's sharing her darkest secrets and talking about the nightmares...
He's determined to keep things professional...
Holt Jackson needs the job at the Honky Tonk, but is completely unprepared to handle the beautiful new bar owner he's working for.
Sharlene and Holt try like crazy to deny the sparks flying between them, but their love may just be the best Christmas present either one of them ever got.

My Review:
Wow I really enjoyed reading this one and highly recommend reading this series! The books keep getting better and better!
I really liked Sharlene's character because she was sassy, stubborn and she's dealing with some bad memories and dreams. She's very determined to have the Honky Tonk up and running!
I really liked Holt's character because he's a really nice guy, sexy, knows what he wants, treats his lady right, loves his niece and nephew and is a damn good carpenter.
Love the way both of them deny the attraction between them (I though it was very funny and amusing)!

My Review:
Hank was sent out to dish out some dirt on Larissa and boy did he make a bad first impression. He almost ran her off the road and everytime they meet it's like oil and water. When he falls in love with her he's fighting his self-conscious because he's not being truthful to her.
Larissa is hot-headed and Hank sure knows how to turn her crank! She's wary of falling in love with a cowboy and she doesn't want to end up like her mom.
The romance between Larissa and Hank is off the charts (you can actually feel the heat between them)!

My Review:
I highly recommend reading this series if you love sassy heroines and hot heroes.
I love the dynamics between Cathy and Travis because the bantering is well written and you can see the heat sparks between this two. Everytime Cathy and Travis cross paths they are always getting into a fight (exchange barbs) and it makes me laugh everytime.
Cathy is a alpha female who takes charge, not a shame of being a bar owner, smart, strong and doesn't care what people think of her. I understand why she has trust issues after what her ex-fiancee did to her.
I liked how Travis treated Cathy after an ordeal (he didn't baby her)!

ARC Review: I Love This Bar [Mass Market Paperback]
I"ve finished "I Love This Bar" the 1st book in her Honky Tonk Series by Carolyn Brown.
Product Description
She doesn't need anything but her bar...
Daisy O'Dell has her hands full with hotheads and thirsty ranchers until the day one damn fine cowboy walks in and throws her whole life into turmoil...
He's looking for a cold drink and a moment's peace...
Instead he finds one red hot woman. She's just what he needs, if only he can convince her to come out from behind that bar, and come home with him...
My Review:
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend reading this one if you like hot, steamy romances with a great storyline!
Jarrod is a cowboy you would love to bring home to meet mom and dad because he's sweet, polite, possessive and knows how to treat a lady! I'm really glad he knew he wanted Daisy and pursued her even though his family didn't like her because she's an ower of a bar!
I'm glad that Daisy didn't care that Jarrod's family didn't approve of her job and she put them in their place! It's always good to see a women who loves food and doesn't really watch her weight! She's a great character because she independent, strong, stubborn, goes for what she wants, doesn't care what people think of her, kind, etc.
