My Review:

Kenzie Macleod is an Archeologist and Anthropolist and the youngest of the Macleod siblings.  She likes to work alone because when she was young she had some run-ins with humans and it has left her emotionally damaged and distrustful.  On her way to her dig site she stops for a handsome guy Josh Talarkoteen and gives him a ride to the Alaska Department of Fish and Wildlife.

When she arrives at the site she finds a cub and asks Josh to come and catch it.  She discovers it's a Changeling cub and she's determined to take care of her.  She also discovers humans using Changelings for experiments and with Josh's help and her family she is going to bring them down.

Josh isn't a Changeling but he can sense who is by their auras which he gets this talent from his people.  He was sexy and hot alpha male who wouldn't take no for an answer when it came to Kenzie.  He is also battling his own demons - he saw people dying on his stint when he was in the Army and he has visions about a little girl.

This book was well written with well developed characters, hot and steamy love story and some truly horrifying villains.

Anya the cub was so cute you want to just hug and cuddle her, Birkie had a major part in this book  and we learn more about her special powers and talents - I'm wondering what she is?

Who else has read this book?  What did you think?  Any guess what Birkie might be?

My Review:

Thirty years ago, a killer killed Jame's pregnant wife Evelyn and their unborn child.  He wasn't home but by the time he got there it was too late.  The killer was still in the house and shot James who donned his werewolf form.  He blames himself and disappeared for decades in his wolf form.

Jillian is an upcoming young vet who is recruited by Connor Macleod in northern Canada and agrees to a six month trial.  When she was a young girl she was attacked and white wolf with blue eyes saved her.  She has been dreaming about this white wolf with the blue eyes which calms her when she is stressed out.

James is Connor's older brother and has been watching out for him all these decades.  He is aware when Jillian arrives at the clinic and he's compelled to watch out for her too.

I felt very deeply for James because he's such a broken man filled with guilt that he's the reason why he lost his wife and unborn child whom he loved very much.   He's a great looking man and Jillian refers to him as a Viking.

Jillian has some issues herself but she's a strong woman who doesn't take any bull from anyone.  She can stand her ground and I'm really glad she has overcome her past.

I was really rooting for James and Jillian because they are both damaged lost souls and they really need each other.  They are two halves of a whole and only they could heal one another.

My Review:

Zoey is psychic and she has been running from her past and finally settles in a small Northern Canadian town.  She accepts a job as an editor of The Dunvegan Herald Weekly.  She struggling to adapt to the freezing and icy weather and also the attack of rogue werewolf Bernie Gervais.

His attack is a part of a plot to destroy the local Changeling pack and to control Zoey's psychic powers.  Connor Macleod the town's veterinarian and pack member Connor Macleod rescues her, but must prevent her transformation at the next full moon or else Gervais' scheme will be accomplished.

I really enjoyed the courtship between Zoey and Connor.  It was so funny to read about Connor being so addicted to Zoe that he could hardly get physical with her due to lack of control over his wolf. He would make a move on her then have to literally run off. And then there was Zoe who was frustrated and not understanding what was wrong with him.
