RS Review: Exposed (Tracers) [Mass Market Paperback]
I've finished "Exposed" the book in her Tracer series by Laura Griffin.
Product Description
Every picture tells a story. But not all of them have happy endings.
As a forensic photographer at the Delphi Center crime lab, Maddie Callahan is used to seeing violence up close, but she’s never before been the target of it. When a freelance photo shoot goes awry, she realizes she may have seen, and perhaps photographed, the kidnapping of a key witness in a federal probe. And although her camera was stolen, Maddie knows she has something that could be even more valuable to investigators.
FBI agent Brian Beckman has spent months investigating a vicious criminal known as the Doctor, only to have a key witness abducted on his watch. Worse, he’s falling for the woman who may be the Doctor’s next target. Maddie’s aloof facade hides a world of hurt that he wants to heal, no matter how much she keeps him at bay. But first he has to protect her from the danger that’s just out of focus, drawing close enough to shoot and kill.

My Review:
Kelsey Quinn works at the Delphi Center crime lab as an forensic anthropologist and she makes sure she can ID bodies using no more than tiny pieces of bones. She finds some bones at a remote Philippines which leads to a sinister story. Her search leads her to the crime scene of her ex-fiancee's murder and the only man that can save her is the man who broke her heart - Gage Brewer. When she couldn't compete with his SEAL's job she gave him an ultimatum either it was her or his team. He picked his team but couldn't understand how she can ask him. He couldn't leave his team but he has never stopped loving or wanting her.
When Gage learns that Kelsey is missing and on the run it wakes up the protective side of him and he will make sure nothing will harm Kelsey and puts himself in the line of fire. Now both are on the run from the very people that are suppose to protect her but in the end can they survive?
Gage is determined to show Kelsey their former relationship wasn't just based on sex but he loved her and still does.
We are also introduced to two new characters Derek Vaughn, Gage's team mate and best friend and FBI newbie Elizabeth. There was a lot of chemistry between them and you could feel it every time they were on the same page. Derek was a fun loving, caring and loves to joke around while Elizabeth was more serious and wanted to prove herself and gain some experience in her new position.
This book had a smoking hot couple who are given a second chance at love while on a tense and exhilarating journey run from the psycho killers.

I've finished "Twisted" the 5th book in her Tracer's series by Laura Griffin.
Product Description
ALLISON DOYLE’S NEW CASE WILL MAKE HER CAREER . . . IF SHE LIVES TO SOLVE IT.
Motive, opportunity, and no alibi — rookie detective Allison Doyle knows it’s as close to a slam dunk as most investigations get. But even though her small-town Texas police department has identified a prime suspect in a young woman’s vicious murder, she can’t rest easy. And when legendary FBI profiler Mark Wolfe shows up with a startling new theory, all her doubts are amplified. If Wolfe is correct, the real killer is an elusive psychopath who has left a trail of bodies behind him. And he’s just days away from his next kill. . . .
Allison was supposed to be Wolfe’s way into the case, nothing more. But she’s ambitious, stubborn, and far too tempting. With the help of her contacts at the Delphi Center crime lab, Wolfe is within striking distance of the monster he’s pursued for ten years. Except the closer Allison and Wolfe get, the more reason there is to fear. Because with a predator this brutal, every thread of evidence can make a difference between hunting a madman — and becoming hunted yourself.

Snapped [Mass Market Paperback]
I've finished "Snapped" the fourth book in her Tracers series by Laura Griffin.
Product Description
SOPHIE BARRETT THINKS SHE’S LUCKY TO BE ALIVE. SHE MAY BE DEAD WRONG.
On a sweltering summer afternoon, Sophie Barrett walks into a nightmare. A sniper has opened fire on a college campus. When the carnage is over, three people — plus the shooter — are dead and dozens more are injured. Sophie escapes virtually unscathed. Yet as details emerge from the investigation, she becomes convinced that this wasn’t the random, senseless act it appeared to be. No one wants to believe her — not the cops, not her colleagues at the Delphi Center crime lab, and definitely not Jonah Macon, the homicide detective who’s already saved her life once.
Jonah has all kinds of reasons for hoping Sophie is mistaken. Involving himself with a key witness could derail an already messy investigation, not to mention jeopardize his career. But Sophie is as determined and fearless as she is sexy. If he can’t resist her, he can at least swear to protect her. Because if Sophie is right, she’s made herself the target of a killer without a conscience. And the real terror is only just beginning . . . .

Characters: Sophie's a very determined and smart ass women.
Jonah very attracted to Sophie but he's afraid he might hurt her and he doesn't want to take advantage of her after all she's gone through (been kidnapped and then involved in a shooting).
Romance: The chemistry between Sophie and Jonah was very intense and hot. They were both fighting their feelings for each other and when they finally got together it was very real and hot. I really love their combative scenes which was a really great and steamy foreplay between them.
Killer: The killer is very manipulative and very crazy person who didn't want anyone to know what they were up too!

My Review:
Storyline: At the beginning Mia is involved in a carjacking that seemed just random but then another sinister incident happens. Now the reports are assigned to Ric Santos a detective from her past!
Characters: I really like Mia because she's very dedicated to her work and is determined to solve the cases assigned to her. She hasn't had the best of luck in relationships and is very wary! I like Ric because he's also very dedicated to his work and is also determined to solve his cases. He will go all out to save the women he loves!
Romance: I really enjoyed the romance between Ric and Mia because you can definately feel the chemistry between them and it was hot! The only thing that I didn't like was what Ric did to Mia because she thought something was starting from last summer when they worked together to solve another case.
Killer: The killer enjoyed his kills and had no remorse whatsoever! He was quite brutal in his killings and nothing got in his way!

My Review:
Just Bad Enough part of their BAD series) - Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love
We meet undercover agent Jeremy Sunn who has the hots for CeCe. But as part of his cover he has a rap sheet a mile long and acts the playboy with a series of women. But since meeting CeCe he wants a real relationship. Unfortunately, she seems to be putting him off because CeCe has secrets of her own. She has ties to criminals that she has been running away from. When CeCe unknowingly hides an important memory disc she and Jeremy must fight a deadly killer who wants it.
Jeremy was a sexy hero who was really dedicated in eliminating the enemy and protecting CeCe . CeCe was your typical helpless female who needs the strong and sexy heroine to save her all the time!
Leave No Trace
In Leave No Trace Cindy Gerard demonstrates her mastery of the suspense thriller. David Cavanaugh is tired of his undercover work for the CIA. He desperately wants to retire but when a colleague asks Cav to find his missing friend (Carrie Granger) he reluctantly agrees. Cav arrives in Myanmar where he discovers Carrie has been caught up in a bungled arrest. To cover up their mistake the government has thrown her in their ruby mines where she labors as a virtual slave. To free her Cav must pretend to work with the corrupt government in Myanmar. Can Carrie learn to trust him or will this rescue mission end in tragedy for them both?
This was a very fast paced story which I really enjoyed reading with all the explosive action. You can feel the tension between Cav and Carrie and it was really steamy! Cav's character was really dashing and Carrie was a great heroine because she's not your typical female (she was kick-ass) and she want toe to toe with the soldiers!
Unstoppable
In Unstoppable Laura Griffin writes a story that is part of her exhilarating Tracers series. This story starts out with action that immediately caught my attention. Gage is a navy SEAL who has been injured. While recovering he is asked by his commanding officer to guard his niece, Dr. Kelsey Quinn. Kelsey is working at an archeological dig where a woman has been shot nearby and there has been a break in. But she believes in her work and knows she can take care of herself. She resents the sexy Quinn `babysitting' her. But when they find fresh, new bones instead of old ones and a secret tunnel both realize that something dangerous is going on. But can they solve the mystery before the killers find them?
Gage was a sexy and hot hero and Kelsey was also another kick-ass heroine. It was a pleasant surprise to find out what the plot was about!

My Review:
Storyline: Very interesting storyline because you are wondering how the killer hasn't been caught for that long, how he got so close to the victims to drug them, kill them and dump them without being seen by anyone! Really enjoyed the part the Tracers had in helping Elaina solve the case!
Characters: Elaina was a great character because she was strong, determined, kick-ass and never let people tell her what to do or never get her down (she's very determined to prove she is capable of doing her job). I also though Troy was another great character because he smart, knows the right people, determined, goes for what he wants and he treated Elaina not like a trophy but as a person with care and listened to what she had to say! He didn't put her down when other did or didn't even talk down to her!
Romance: I really enjoyed the romance between Elaina and Troy because it was different (her family life wasn't the best and her romances weren't too great either) and he was willing to listen to what she wanted! He was very caring and was there for her even though he has a reputation as a playboy!
Killer: I'm really surprised that the killer wasn't found out sooner! I thought it was quite interesting to find out who the killer actually was (very curious to know why he killed?)
5/5

My Review:
Storyline: I really enjoyed the storyline because they couldn't really nail the bad guy without any proof of evidence. Didn't like the fact he is a women abuser and like to brand them with cigarettes on their neck.
Characters: I really enjoyed Alexandra and Nathan's characters because they were both stubborn, level-headed and they both were well written.
Romance: I loved the romance between Alexandra and Nathan even though he didn't believe her he was still attracted to her and wanted to protect her. I was glad when he finally believed her about the killer.
Killer: The killer was well liked and respected and no one suspected him. No one had any proof of evidence that he was drug dealer or killer until later in the book then they nailed him. Glad to see what was coming to him but I thought he got off to easy.
4/5
