I am so excited to have Lisa Sanchez here to talk about her book Obsessed in a guest post here at Paranormal and Romantic Suspense Reviews.
Lisa is currently touring to promote her new book Obsessed.
Thanks so much Goddessfish.com for connecting us on this blog tour!
Please take it away, Lisa!
First off, let me just thank you for having me on your blog. I’m so excited to be here! That being said, let’s get down to the nitty gritty, shall we?
Obsessed is very near and dear to my heart. A love story at its core, it deals with real and heavy issues such as stalking, obsession, anxiety, addiction and redemption. The main characters, Halley and Nick, have both experienced horrific atrocities which have left them scarred, floundering and afraid of relationships.
I wrote the majority of Obsessed in the month of November when I participated in NaNoWriMo. I normally write about vampires, demons and witches, but had this particular story swimming around in my head, begging to be told. Writing outside my genre was a fun challenge. With paranormal, when something doesn’t go your character’s way, you can use magic or some otherworldly power to change situations and make things swing the way you want. Not so much with contemporary suspense! The change from my normal, snarky, sarcastic style was also a nice change, and I found it refreshing to explore the darker side of my psyche. Writing a crazy stalker dude was surprisingly fun. Not sure what that says about me, lol!
Obsessed is by far the darkest novel I’ve written, as well as the sexiest (hubba hubba!) and I’m immensely proud. My biggest hope is that readers will connect with Nick and Halley, and love them as much as I do.
Thanks again for having me!

The victim of both a brutal attempted rape and now a serial stalking, Halley Davis is broken, and desperate to glue the shattered pieces of her life back together. Tormented by a psychopath and battling a heavy dose of anxiety, sex and dating are the last things on Halley’s anxiety-ridden mind. That is, until she meets the man who rescued her from the hands of a would-be rapist. With a body made for sin, a wicked, sexy tattoo and an aura that screams “badass,” her rescuer not only calms the storm of terror raging inside her mind, he ignites a passion within her she’s never known before.
Tired of using meaningless sex to drown out the horrors of his past, Nick Ackart has sworn off women. In fact, if women were classified as meat, his ass is Vegan. Despite his determination to remain unattached, Nick is unable to stay away from the emerald-eyed beauty he rescued from a sadistic pervert. Immersed in a tangled web of sexual desire and deep emotion he was certain was long dead, he vows to protect Halley from the monster hounding her, even though he stands to lose his heart in the process.
