ARC Review: Paradise Valley

I've finished "Paradise Valley" by Rosanne Bittner.

Product Description

"Stop! Or I'll shoot your hat off."

Maggie Tucker has just gone through hell. Outlaws murdered her husband, looted their camp, and terrorized Maggie before leaving her lost and alone in the wilds of Wyoming. She isn't about to let another strange man get close enough to harm her.

Sage Lightfoot, owner of Paradise Valley ranch, his hunting for the men who killed his best ranch hand. But what he finds is a beautiful, bedraggled woman digging a grave. And pointing a pistol at his heart.

From that moment on, Sage will do anything to protect the strong-yet-vulnerable Maggie. Together, they'll embark on a life-changing journey along the dangerous Outlaw Trail, risking their lives and their love.

My Review:

Maggie Tucker has been though hell and back.  Outlaws murdered her husband, took their belongs and raped Maggie before leaving her lost and alone in the Wyoming wilderness.  She is determined not to let another strange man get to close to harm her again.

Sage Lightfoot is the owner of Paradise Valley Ranch and he is on the hunt for the men who murdered his best ranch hand.  Instead he finds a bedraggled woman digging a grave and pointing a pistol at his heart.

From then on Sage does everything to protect the strong-minded but vulnerable Maggie.  They team up and embark on a life-changing journey along the dangerous Outlaw Trail risking everything.

Maggie was a great heroine with all the hardships she experienced and overcame to seek revenge against the men who terrorized her.

Sage was badly hurt from a past relationship but that doesn't stop him starting a new one with Maggie and figuring out who really loves and cares for him.

Paradise Valley (Virgin River, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)

I've just finished reading "Paradise Valley" the 7th book in her Virgin River series by Robyn Carr.

Description

Marine corporal Rick Sudder is home early from Iraq—his tour ended abruptly on the battlefield. The carefree boy is gone, replaced by a man who believes his future is as bleak as his mirror image. But can the passion and commitment of a young woman who has never given up on him mend his broken body and shattered heart?

As the people of Virgin River rally around Rick, another recent arrival tests the tightly knit mountain town's famous welcoming spirit. Dan Brady has a questionable past, and he's looking for a place to start over. He'd like it to be Virgin River…if he can find a way in. But he never expects to find it in the arms of a woman who was as much an outcast as himself.

For a favorite son returned from war and an outsider looking for a home, Virgin River offers them a chance to make peace with the men they once were…and to find the dreams they thought they'd lost.

My review:

I really like this series and I would recommend this one to any book reviewer.

Glad to see there everyone had an HEA and conflicts/problems were resolved, etc.

Heard there are going to be some more books in 2010 and I can't wait.
