My Review:
Straif Blackthorne is the last of his line and they have a defective gene which allows a common virus on Celta to kill them. He has searched for 17 years to find a cure and to repair the family mansion. He acquires a Fam Drina, a young cat who leads him to interior designer Mitchella Clover who he hires to repair his mansion. He knows he has a Heartmate but won't pursue her until he finds a cure for his ailment. He's very attracted to Mitchella and decides an affair is fine for now.
Mitchella Clover is robbed from having children of her own from a childhood illness. She has known that not all children are born but can be children of the heart. She has Anteen Moss the child of her heart and plans on having more to complete the loving family she deserves. She's also very attracted to Straif but doesn't know he's a Greatlord until she is under his spell.
Then a distant cousin not affected by the disease challenges Straif for head of the family. He accuses Straif of neglect of the family mansion and something sinister is threatening Mitchella with death which causes both of them to figure out what means the most to them.
I loved how the HeartHouse connected with Mitchella and Drina's snotty behaviour which made me laugh at times.

Heart Search (Celta) [Paperback]
I've finished "Heart Search" the 10th book in her Celta series by Robin D. Owens.
Product Description
Laev T'Hawthorn -- one of the highest nobles in the land -- must rebuild his life after a devastating mistake. He married a woman he believed was his HeartMate, only to learn she was a greedy social climber. She callously used him, stealing his family heirlooms. He is determined to reclaim all that he has lost -- beginning with his self-respect.
Abandoned at fifteen, Camellia Darjeeling values her independence above all. She's fought to establish her own businesses -- elegant tearooms -- only to have her father and uncle re-enter her life. They emotionally scourge her and extort money. Trusting men, even her HeartMate, is too risky.
When Laev and Camellia meet, they refuse to acknowledge that they are true HeartMates. After her shady relatives are implicated in the theft of Laev's property, Camellia and Laev's lives become ever more entangled bringing each to the brink of despair and passion ... and a destiny they can no longer avoid.
From the Author
For the cover of Heart Search, please see my author profile. I've uploaded one there.
Heart Search skips about twelve (12) years between the first set of books (HeartMate through Heart Journey) and begins the stories of the younger generation. Introduced are: Jasmine Ash and Dani Eve Elder, as well as the heroine's friends, Glyssa Licorice (of the Public Library family) and Tiana Mugwort.
Yes, this is Celta, yes the surnames are of plants.
Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again.

My Review:
Camilla is the successful owner of two teashops and has two best friends that everyone would want. She also just got her own FamCat Mica. She has trouble trusting men because her dad and uncle have abused her mentally and physically. They break into her house and steal money and valuable stuff from her, then they hawk them. They also hurt hurt physically to get what they want. Her brother is also weak in mind.
She also has trouble even trusting her HeartMate Laev because he's hurt her by marrying someone else even though he knew she wasn't his HeartMate.
Laev has has been betrayed by his ex-wife who made his life a living nightmare. The marriage was fine the first few months but then things started to fall apart. She made sure she tormented Laev and even left reminders of herself in the HeartHouse. He's afraid to let himself love another women even his HeartMate Camilla.
When they finally got together it was very hot and steamy. I was really rooting for them because both of them have been through so much and understood what each of them was going through.
I thought both cat Fams stole the book and I really enjoyed their bantering. They were quite the matchmaker themselves. I loved the way they protected their FamFamily and the way they interacted.

Heart Fate (Celta's HeartMates, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
I've just finished reading "Heart Fate" the 7th book in her Celtic Heartmate series by Robin D. Owens.
Product Description
Wed to a wealthy older man when she was just a girl, Lahsin Yew runs away from her abusive home to find a new life. At seventeen, she’s about to enter her Second Passage, when her Flair—and perhaps her HeartMate—will be revealed.
Lahsin finds sanctuary in a secret garden, where she meets Tinne Holly. Though he is her HeartMate, he cannot tell her, and her troubled past prevents her from trusting any man. Pretending to find her by chance, Tinne helps her through her Second Passage. But when the truth is revealed, can she forgive his deception, and learn to trust in her destiny?
About the Author
Robin D. Owens is a RITA award-winning author.
My Review:
Storyline: I really enjoyed this storyline though too bad Tinne couldn't tell Lahsin he was her HeartMate. Didn't enjoy hearing that he ex-husband raped and beat her. Also hated his daughter.
Characters: The characters were well written especially Lahsin, Tinne, etc.
Romance: I enjoyed the romance between Tinne & Lahsin because they were closer in age and he helped her through her Flair and problems, etc.
Killer: Well there wasn't really a killer in this book but a villian which I didn't really like and his daughter.
