Manga Review: Amnesia Labyrinth Vol. 1 [Paperback]

I've finished "Amnesia Labyrinth Vol. 1" by Nagura Tanigawa.

Product Description

When high school student Souji Kushiki, an academic achiever and talented athlete from a well-to-do family, returns home from summer vacation, he finds that his sisters Harumi, Youko and Saki have changed. Their strangely clingy behavior borders on the inappropriate and bizarre, yet Souji just brushes off their mysterious conduct at first.

However, when Souji arrives at school the next day, he learns that, during the summer, three students were murdered by an unknown culprit. Are the victims linked, and could Souji’s sisters have anything to do with the murders?

With the help of his cheery and spunky new girlfriend Yukako Sasai, straight-laced Souji is about to venture into a mysterious world that might just be the death of him.

My Review:

I highly recommend this manga to if you really like well written horror manga with creepy elements and characters.

This manga is most definitely for older teens (16+) due to the nudity and scenes of sex (doesn't show the sex but it's quite obvious they did it, and he even explains about the situation.)

The strangeness of this book is all 3 of his sisters seem to be infatuated with their brother, but each sister is related to him in a different way, the oldest sister is his full blooded sister, the second oldest sister is his stepsister and his youngest sister is his half blooded sister.  It's incest and I felt kind of icky after I saw that part!

The story is about 3 students who have been murdered and how Kushiki (the main character) returns home after being gone for about 1 year and 6 months. Upon his return he becomes friends with a girl in his class that knows a lot about him and she's very energetic and wants to solve the murders and is very determined to find the killer.

The volume ends in a cliff hanger and I can't wait to read the second volume!

4/5

Thanks Leah from Seven Seas for sending me this manga to review, greatly appreciated!
