Simply Irresistible (A Lucky Harbor Novel) [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Simply Irrestible" the 1st book in her Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shavis.

Product Description

Maddie Moore's whole life needs a makeover.

In one fell swoop, Maddie loses her boyfriend (her decision) and her job (so not her decision). But rather than drowning her sorrows in bags of potato chips, Maddie leaves L.A. to claim the inheritance left by her free-spirited mother-a ramshackle inn nestled in the little coastal town of Lucky Harbor, Washington.

Starting over won't be easy. Yet Maddie sees the potential for a new home and a new career-if only she can convince her two half-sisters to join her in the adventure. But convincing Tara and Chloe will be difficult because the inn needs a big makeover too.

The contractor Maddie hires is a tall, dark-haired hottie whose eyes-and mouth-are making it hard for her to remember that she's sworn off men. Even harder will be Maddie's struggles to overcome the past, though she's about to discover that there's no better place to call home than Lucky Harbor.

My Review:

This was a very enjoyable and fun read.

Maddy Moore has lost her job (movie industry) and dumped her ex-boyfriend who was abusive!  She has inherited the Lucky Harbor Resort along with her two half-sisters Tara and Chloe from their dead free spirited mother.  While on the way to Lucky Harbor, Washington she almost hits a hunky motorcycle guy with her car.  The hot motorcycle guy is fine and since Maddy has sworn off guys she goes on her way.  When she arrives at the resort which includes a bed and breakfast inn, marina and owner's cottage it's in such bad shape that it will take alot of money and renovations to be in tip top shape.  She has to convince her older sister Steel Magnolia" older sister Tara and "Wild Child" younger sister Chloe.  Both Tara and Chloe both don't won't too and say it will will cost to much to run (all of them have different fathers and weren't brought up together).  They give Maddy a month to get it up and running before selling it.  Maddy finds herself at the local bar that night and finds her hot motorcycle guy who introduces himself as Jax Cullen.  Even though there is extreme chemistry between them she is determined to stay far far away!  She needs a carpenter so she calls a number and can you guess who it is?

Whenever I saw Maddy's name I would think Mandy Moore!

4/5
