Follow My Blog Friday #104

If you are new to the FF fun, Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, myself of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Now to make this FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link above FEATURES and Features and Follow Friday and get on the waiting list!  It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.

This Meme is hosted by Rachel from Parajunkee's View and Alison from Alison Can Read on Fridays.

To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

1. Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host {Parajunkee.com} {Alisoncanread.com}and any one else you want to follow on the list.

2. Follow our Featured Bloggers - Cayce @ Fighting Dream and Novel Sounds.

3. Put your Blog name and URL in the Linky thing.

4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments

5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can

6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love ... and the followers

7. If your new to the Follow Friday Hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

The Friday Follow Feature are ...

Our Feature – Cayce @ Fighting Dreamer

1. I started my blog almost exactly 6 months ago, simply because I wanted a place to talk about the books I’ve read. I’d been reading a couple of book blogs for months and thought “Why not start my own?” So I did. Fighting Dreamer is my first blog ever, and I hope to keep blogging for a long time.

2. My favorite part of book blogging is the community, the interaction I have with the other readers and bloggers. I love getting comments and hearing back from my readers. Through blogging, I have “met” many wonderful people from around the world, and discovered books I would never have known about otherwise.

3. The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. I also love Pride & Prejudice, Twilight and books by Stephen King, Agatha Christie. And my newest favorite is Slammed by Colleen Hoover.

4. One of the highlights of blogging is getting to know so many people who share my obsession love of books. And the chance to interact with authors I admire.

Novel Sounds

1. When did you start blogging?

December 2011

2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Elena: The community!! I am constantly overwhelmed with how genuinely welcoming and just NICE generally everyone is. It's a ridiculously generous community and I love, love interacting with everyone. Hooray for people who love books!

Kendra: I really enjoy the community of it all. Finding new books that I maybe wouldn't have checked out otherwise because it got a great review by someone I trust, that sort of deal. It's great to have find people to have the same interests as you do, always.

3. What is your favorite book(s)?

Elena: My favourite book is Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. I just think there's something so beautiful about his writing and the way he understands human nature. I also love that even though he is a Japanese author, his works seem very international. Kendra's all time favourite book is probably Play It As It Lays by Joan Didion.

Kendra: We are mainly YA book blog though so some of our favourites are the Hex Hall series, the Agency Series, Anna & the French Kiss, etc. I think my favourite book so far this year is Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein which EVERYONE needs to read. Kendra's favourite book that she's reviewed on the blog is The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater.

4. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Elena: It seems redundant to say again but meeting everyone! I just can't gush enough about everyone I've met and interacted with so far. The girls specifically at Rather Be Reading (http://ratherbereading.com) give me such great advice. I've also grown closer to Kendra because of this and I think she's got such a unique voice.

Kendra: This is such a dumb answer but seeing our layout when we moved from Blogger to WordPress was a big thrill for me? We looked so shiny and awesome, I was in love. I love sharing everything with Elena too, she is the very best.

Q: Birthday Wishes -- Blow out the candles and imagine what character could pop out of your cake - who is it and what book are they from?

Zarek from Dance With the Devil, Zsadist from Lover Awakened, Roarke from the In Death series, Barrons from The Fever series and Bones from The Night Huntress series.
