No Mercy (Dark-Hunter) [Hardcover]

I've finished "No Mercy" a book in her Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Product Description

Live fast, fight hard and if you have to die then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Now in contemporary New Orleans, the immortal Amazon warrior is about to learn that there’s a worse evil coming to slaughter mankind than she’s ever faced before.

Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power- one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.

The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn’t unravel the universe as we know it.

My Review:

I highly recommend this latest book in her Dark Hunter series if you like well written characters with a great storyline.

I really like Dev as a character because under all that macho lies a bear who wants love and children (he wants what his parents shared)!  He's very protective of Aimee and you learn what happened to his two older brothers Gilbert and .  At the beginning of the book he is still dealing with the death of his parents!

Samia's true warrior character is a sight to behold (she's a great swordwomen among other things) since she's a former Amazon Queen.  Her story is very sad and I'm glad she did get her revenge!

I really loved the interactions between Dev and Samia especially when they were flirting because it was really funny and well written.  You can definately feel the heat between them.

4/5

Thanks Rita from H.B. Fenn and Company Ltd. for sending me this book to review, greatly appreciated!
