Larissa Ione Sin Undone Blog Tour with Giveaway and Q/A

AUTHOR BIO

I began writing the way so many writers do—the moment I learned to wield a pencil. But even as a child, I didn't write "kid" stories. I preferred something more dramatic. Something that didn't include Dick, Jane, and a dog named Spot. I wanted my characters to be named Dracula and my dogs to have names like White Fang or Cujo. I'll always have my parents to thank for that. They never censored my reading material (though I suspect that if they had truly known what was between the covers of some of the books, they'd have been a little more careful,) so when other girls my age were reading Laura Ingalls Wilder and Judy Blume, I was immersing myself in Stephen King and Dean Koontz.

Later, after I'd joined the Air Force and was in dire need of something to read between shifts at the weather station, I continued to read horror, but I'd branched out into fantasy, and then, finally, romance (though I admit I went kicking and screaming to the latter.)

Turned out that I loved romance! So I started writing it, but again, my style and voice leaned toward the dark, paranormal side. Fortunately for me, paranormal romance, as a sub-genre, was booming. I let my imagination fly, and soon I'd sold a series of dark, sexy paranormal romances to Grand Central Publishing.

I still read a lot of horror, science fiction, and fantasy, and in fact, one of my all time favorite books about writing is On Writing, by my favorite childhood horror author, Stephen King. If you're an author or a reader, I highly recommend this book for an insight into an author's mind—which can sometimes be a very scary place.

Go ahead; Seduce your dark side.

Please take it away Larissa!

1. What are your books about?

The Demonica series is a dark, sexy paranormal series set in an underworld hospital. Here's a blurb for the series overview:

Humans go to hospitals. Animals go to veterinarians. But where do injured, ill, and decapitated demons go? It isn't as if every supernatural being possesses the ability to grow a new limb to replace one that's been hacked off by a demon slayer scumbag. Fear not, fellow vamps, werewolves, and demons, for help has arrived. Three brothers, incubus demons by birth, human in appearance (mostly), have pulled together to make the most of the healing skills common to their species. Welcome to Underworld General Hospital, where sexy demons are doctors, HMOs are non-existent, and the blood bank sometimes doubles as the cafeteria. And you don't even want to know what goes on in the supply closets…

The newest book is Sin Undone, which is book 5 in the series, and is about a demon assassin heroine and a dhampire paramedic hero who face danger from all sides while trying to put an end to a deadly plague that's affecting the world's werewolf population...

2. How did you become interested in writing?

I've been interested in writing for as long as I can remember. I guess what got me interested is...reading. I learned to read at a young age, and I loved it. If I've got a good book, I'd rather read than do almost anything. My imagination runs overtime with my own stories, so I just began writing them down, and eventually, the stories turned into full-length books. It had always been a dream of mine to see a book of mine on bookstore shelves, and after years of writing and submitting, it finally happened!

3. What are some of your favorite authors or genres?

I love paranormal romance, horror, fantasy, and historical fiction. Some of my all-time favorite authors are Sharon Kay Penman, Robert Jordan, and Stephen King.

4. What's it like being a multi-published author?

It's a dream come true! It definitely keeps me very busy, but really, it's the best job in the world!

5. What's on your next to do list?

I'm just finishing up revisions to the first book in my new series about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Eternal Rider, and then I start work on book 2, which has yet to get a title. I'm also starting on copyedits for Taken By Fire, which is the sixth and final book in the ACRO series, which is an erotic paranormal/action-adventure/sci-fi series I co-write under the name Sydney Croft. So...going back to what it's like being a multi-published author, I can definitely say that it's busy! : ) For more information on all the books, please feel free to visit me at www.LarissaIone.com or www.SydneyCroft.com. Thanks so much for having me!

Thanks for the Q/A on my Blog, Larissa I greatly appreciate it!

SIN UNDONE

By Larissa Ione

As the only female Seminus demon ever born, master assassin Sinead Donnelly is used to being treated like an outcast. She spent decades enslaved, and now vows she'll die before she'll relinquish her freedom again. Then Sin's innate ability to kill her enemies goes awry: She creates a lethal new werewolf virus that sparks a firestorm of panic and violence.

Half-werewolf, half-vampire Conall Dearghul is charged with bringing in Sin to face punishment for the plague. And she's no stranger: He's bound to her by blood, and the one sexual encounter they shared has left him hungering for her raw sensuality. Worse, Sin is the underworld's most wanted and Con soon learns he's the only one who can help her . . . and that saving her life might mean sacrificing his own.
