My Review:

Dominic is the half Elf and half human bastard of the evil Fire Lord Mor’ded the leader of Firehame in London.  He is used as a general by his father who tortures him by using his weaknesses.  Dominic is a hard ass because he has learnt that love and friendship is dangerous to ones he loves.  He uses this as means to protect himself until he meets his bride Lady Cassandra (who melts his heart).

Lady Cassandra is an assassin sent to kill the Fird Lord and his bastard son by coming and marry Dominic in an arranged marriage (she is part of the rebellion).  I admire her courage, strength and pride when she stands against the court who mocks her.

I really enjoyed the romance between Dominic and Cassandra because he's a hard ass who melts under her touch!
