My Review:
New Orleans Police Department, Detective Silas MacCreedy has a secret agenda to secure a place once again in the Shifter hierarchy by returning what he is sent to retrieve. He's investigating recent disappearances of female shapeshifters without anyone seeing them. He rushes to a women who he sees being assaulted in an alleyway but it's Nicca who saves him instead.
Nicca is an assassin for hire who has lived her life alone and likes it that way. She believes if she got involved with anyone it will only bring pain and grief but she can't deny her fierce attraction to Silas. She has come to town on a mission to take down her assignment but she realizes she can't!
Silas was a great character because he's sexy and hot but also conflicted with his mission to retrieve what he was sent for. He's very much attracted to Nicca but she complicates a relationship from childhood and she starts messing with his head.
This book had non-stop action with a very steamy and hot romance.
