My Review:

The manga opens with Yuki, Aido and Kaname's familiar walking to the cemetery to go visit the Toma family.  Yuki notices Kaname's familiar looking up in the sky at bats and she comments they look like Kaname's but different.  The head of the Toma family doesn't like that comment and decides to teach Yuki a lesson.  He sends his familiar to the cemetery but Aido steps in front of Yuki but she decides she has it under control.  Yuki is hurt badly by the familiar and it seems like Kaname's familiar is destroyed.  Aido and Yuki are talking when Zero suddenly appears at the entrance.  He looks worried and lifts Yuki when she collapses and takes her to the nearest Vampire Hunter Society.  Aido can't seem to enter until Zero lifts him and carries him inside because of the security measures (I was laughing at this part - so funny).

Yuki is miserable and wants to just go home to Kaname so she runs away.  She's happy to see that Kaname's familiar is safe and he teleports her home.  Kaname lets her see his memories and we finally meet his former female companion and learn a secret about her.

Aido is being kept a prisoner at the Vampire Hunter Society where Zero has already tasered him.  He threatens Aido that there are ways to get information from him.  At the end of the book Zero seems to be turning towards the dark side of being a vampire and he sure has a scary smile too.

5/5
