Manga Review: Blood Alone, Vol. 4 [Paperback]

I've finished "Blood Alone Vol. 4" by Masayuki Takano.

Product Description

At last, the poignant details unfold of how mystery writer turned supernatural investigator Kuroe Kurose first met the young vampire Misaki, as the sins of the past shape the deadly repercussions of the future.

Surrounded by Renfields, magicians, and sinister vampires, suspense and violence abound as the true depth of Kurose’s feelings for Misaki is revealed.

This volume deepens the rich character development and colorful vampire lore introduced in the Blood Alone Omnibus.

The perfect companion series for fans of Dance in the Vampire Bund and Vampire Knight.

My Review:

I highly recommend this series if you like very feisty vampire girls with a great storyline and characters.  This volume has a lot of violence and half naked women so if you don't like stuff like that I would say don't read this series.

In this volume we learn how Kuroe first meets Misaki and it wasn't the best of meetings.  She is very spoiled and acts like a princess plus she is very lonely since she doesn't see her dad very much (he's always traveling somewhere).  She's not that nice to Kuroe when they first meet but she doesn't buy him a very nice suit for to attend her birthday party.

We also learn that Kuroe's boss gave him a power which he has been able to use against a very powerful vampire who is after Misaki.  She's not very happy with Kuroe and tends to beat him up right after being beaten up by the other vampire.

4/5

Thanks Seven Seas/Tor for sending me this manga to review, greatly appreciated!

This sounds like a pretty good manga series. I will have to check it out. I love that goodreads is recommending some new manga series to me and that I can see how they are on your blog :)

I like the idea of a feisty vampire girl. It's nice to see girls who aren't weak. The cover reminds me too much of Vampire Knight though. I like seeing something that has individuality.
