Last to Die [Mass Market Paperback]
I've finished "Last to Die" the sequel to "One Scream Away" by Kate Brady.
Product Description
A ruthless killer hides in plain sight, someone no one believes is capable of murder. Within a week, six women will be murdered, all punished for their dark pasts. Detective Dani Cole is determined to track down this serial killer whose victims include a young woman she pulled out of a life of crime. Her investigation leads her to a photography foundation and the renowned photographer Mitch Sheridan, a man she she fell in love with years ago but has tried to forget. Dani and Mitch are instantly attracted to each other again, though their troubled pasts keep them from getting too close. Together, through the course of the investigation, they unearth a dark chain of deception that leads to a killer who is closer than they think.

My Review:
Glad to catch up with Neil Mitch's older brother!
Storyline: To find out who killed a former prositute by the name of Rosie and why. Dani helped her start a new life so this is personal. Then Russell Sanders the arts founder director is found dead and now Dani needs to find the link between Rosie and Rusell. Then more prositute bodies start showing up and Dani needs to find out what the connection is!
Characters: I really liked Dani because she is strong, overcame her troubled childhood and became a cop. I really liked Mitch too because he was very caring and is determined to prove his friend/father figure is innocent.
Romance: Dani and Mitch were once teenager lovers but she pushed him away because she didn't want him to know what her family was like. She actually gave him a broken nose and told him their was someone else! They reconnect on this case and it was very sweet how Mitch didn't push her and she finally learned to trust him.
Killer(s): The killer was one screwed up person and really enjoyed their killings! Had a very bad childhood!
4.5/5
