Follow My Blog Friday #111

If you are new to the FF fun, Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, myself of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Now to make this FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link above FEATURES and Features and Follow Friday and get on the waiting list!  It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.

This Meme is hosted by Rachel from Parajunkee's View and Alison from Alison Can Read on Fridays.

To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

1. Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host {Parajunkee.com} {Alisoncanread.com}and any one else you want to follow on the list.

2. Follow our Featured Bloggers - Chayse @ The Book Reaper and Ed and Ems Reviews

3. Put your Blog name and URL in the Linky thing.

4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments

5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can

6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love ... and the followers

7. If your new to the Follow Friday Hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

When did you start blogging?

I started blogging almost a year ago. I had become interested after meeting a book blogger who had come to a Teen Book Club meeting at my public library. Starting was rough for me because I didn’t know what to do, how to write a review, or even manage my time well. When I entered in my first year of college I struggled more and even thought of giving up but with people telling me to keep trying and just keep at it, I kept at it and now I am here where I am today.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

I think for me the best thing out of book blogging is being able to give a review to people and let others know what I thought of the book. I love reading a new book, one I would have probably not picked up before and just showing how much I love the world of reading is something I fine special.

What is your favorite book(s)?

This is the hardest question and my list can go on forever of books that I love. I will always answer this because deep down inside its true. I love the world of Harry Potter. Harry Potter for me was the first novel that I tackled on my own and it has become a huge part of my life. I can find myself always going back to Harry Potter whenever I just need a good book to read. I am easily able to connect with the characters and have the world capture my soul!

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

The best thing really is being able to meet so many people and have the chance to share our love for books.
No matter the genre. I love talking to people and finding out what books they found joy in reading. I know I have come a long way and I still have a long ways ahead of me but I believe that the people around you can help a person achieve greatness.

Ed and Ems Reviews

Ed and Em's Book Reviews

1. When did you start blogging?

My good friend, Edwin and I started blogging in February of this year. Since all we ever did was read and watch movies, we were like, "Let's make a blog and tell people about our awesome opinions because our awesome opinions should be seen by the world." So, we did and Ed and Em's Reviews was born! Since Edwin and I are on opposite sides of the country, I, Emily, will be doing all the answering. (He'll regret this later.)

2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Well, Edwin's favorite part is having an excuse to watch movies all the time. His family no longer judges him. (That's a lie, but we'll let him dream.) Mine would have to be meeting new people. ... Is that cheesy? Because I've met some seriously awesome people. Well, "cyber-met." Though I have met a few bloggers in person at book signings, which I now go to all the time. There are some really awesome authors, guys. Basically, meeting new people is cool.

3. What is your favorite book(s)?

Edwin loves scifi/fantasy novels. He just finished The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and won't shut up about it. He also really likes the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. My favorite classic novel is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brönte and my favorite "modern day" novels are The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, the Newsflesh Trilogy by Mira Grant and Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan. There are so many amazing books that narrowing this list literally hurts me. I need some chocolate now, to repress the emotions. You can find all of my favorites on my Goodreads page under the lists "all-time favorites" and "best books ever."

4. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Edwin says he's glad he started blogging with me because now I can't drop him as a friend. No, actually he says the best thing that has come from blogging for him is now his family buys him movies and books all the time. The best thing for me is my family thinks I'm really cool. They no longer question my constant reading. Yeah, I'm a pro. Also - Veronica Roth knows our blog. So that's PRETTY FREAKING AWESOME. *cough* Er... Right.

Q: What blogger inspires you? It can be any kind, it doesn't have to be a book blog.

I have lots of bloggers that inspire me because they are real and their not blogging just to get as much followers as they can.  They do their own things like reviewing books and not afraid what people think of their honest opinions.
