Manga Review: X, Vol. 3: 3-in-1 [Paperback]
I've finished "X 3-1 Vol. 3" by Clamp.
Product Description
Reads R to L (Japanese Style), for audiences rated teen plus.
X, the epic series from CLAMP, is now available in this deluxe collector’s edition. The pages have been recomposed in the original right-to-left reading order and restored to the highest quality. Each volume contains three of the original graphic novels, along with gorgeous, full-color illustrations never before published outside Japan.
As the gears of fate turn, Kamui draws ever closer to the moment when he must make his inevitable choice: become either humanity’s savior or its scourge. After his last surviving blood relative sacrifices herself to bring forth the Sacred Sword, the weapon he will need in the war to come, that moment finally arrives. With Kamui’s decision, however, come unimaginable consequences for Fuma and Kotori.
Meanwhile, the members of both sides of the conflict — the Dragons of Heaven and the Dragons of Earth — converge on Tokyo, obeying the call of their intertwined destinies. Among them is Subaru Sumeragi, a powerful magic user, who arrives just in time to help Kamui see the path that he must take. But Subaru must conquer his own doubts and fears when he’s finally reunited with the one person who is truly special to him — and whom he must fight to the death.

My Review:
In this volume Kamui learns more about his destiny from his dying Aunt and the sacred sword they guard for him when he finally becomes "The Kamui".
Kamui is forced to choose between the two sides and he decides he only wants to protect Kotori and Fūma. He becomes a Dragon of Heaven and at the same time Fuma has a change of personality and becomes the "Kamui" of the Dragons of Earth as he was destined to be Kamui's opposite. Fuma kills Kotori and swears to kill Kamui. Deciding he wishes to bring Fuma back to normal Kamui joins the Dragons of Heaven in their fight against the Dragons of Earth.
Loved the gorgeous color illustrations and the lovely tarot cards. The quality is great and the pages are thick so it holds up well. The manga is pretty thick and heavy.

I've been thinking about reading X for a while now, I'm more likely to read it now because of the omnibus' - the 18 volumes will be cheaper that way, now that they're being released as 3-in-1!
While I have read a lot of Clamp series, I have never gotten through X/1999. I have the whole series and the anime, but for some reason, I just haven't made it a priority.
I think I need to change that.
