My Review:
This volume opens with a guy with a gun threatening another guy about information on a jewel and finding out about a fairy doctor that can help him. We later find out he's Edgar Ashenbert the Earl of Ibrazel aka Sir John.
Then we are introduced to Lydia Carlton a fairy doctor who can hear and see fairies among other creatures. She receives a letter from her father and on her way she is kidnapped and saved by Edgar. We learn that Edgar is a descendant of the Blue Knight from a fairy tale and he need her help in finding the jeweled sword that the Blue Knight left somewhere. He has some clues but needs Lydia to decipher them for him.
Also there is a storyline about a guy who fits Edgar's description that has killed hundred people in America and harmed/killed a man named Gotham. Lydia and her fairy cat Nico are suspicious of Edgar and don't trust him. It seems once Edgar tells Lydia about his life history she's starting to trust Edgar because he saved her again from Gotham and the circumstances leading to his history with Gotham and the killings.
Edgar has two servants Raven and Ermine who we find out aren't human and have a dark past just like Edgars. Both are exceptional fighters and good at everything.
Then we see another Gotham going to Lydia's father and letting him know that Lydia has been kidnapped. He asks him to work together to find her.
I highly recommend this manga for it's well researched fae culture, great storyline and has some intriguing characters (Edgar, Raven, Ermine, etc.)
4/5

Thanks for the great review can't wait to see more of this manga series as it gets released. :)
The idea of a fairy doctor sounds silly, but I think it's just semantics. I'm always up for a well done faery book. I haven't read any fey manga.
Hi Alexa,

Hi Alison,
