My Review:
It's the anniversary of Cassidy's mate death and while is in mourning at the place where he died she is chased by an unknown power that needs her blood to open a portal to the Fae world. Next thing she knows she's in the clutches of handsome and sexy Diego Escobar. Both are very attracted to each other but Cassidy finds herself confided to Shiftertown for two weeks and she has responsibilites. She hasn't trusted a human since the death of her mate but Diego stirs up the mate bond in her. They find out it involves Reid a Fae who is posing as a cop in the Shiftertown division who was kicked out of the Fae world and his family killed.
Diego is mourning the lost of his partner and friend and is on the hunt for the people responsible for his death. His investigation takes him and Cassidy to Mexico where they finds a group of feral shapeshifters who are terrorizing the town. While defeating them they also rescue a group of female shifters and freeing them.
Eric Cassidy's older brother and the Shifter leader meets Iona a collarless half shifter who is posing as human. He very much attracted to her and this sets up his book which is next.
This book was well written and the characters were well developed. Eric was a sexy hero who wants to protect Cassidy even though she's quite capable of taking care of herself. I loved the family bond between Eric and Cassidy because they are always there for each other and they support one another. Really enjoyed the romance between Diego and Cassidy because they got to know each other before hopping into bed and they wanted to protect one another.
4/5

I really need to read this series, I have the first two books and I've even met the author but I'm still dragging my feet for some reason. I'm glad that the couple had time to bond before they started a romantic relationship.
Thanks for the amazing review!
I just read this book and loved it. I've been a fan of the series since first reading the first book and loved it so much. I recommend this book to anyone who like shifter stories.
