HIDE FROM EVIL
Sean Flynn should feel lucky he's alive. But a betrayal by a close friend - and two years on death row - has left him feeling only numb. When his conviction was overturned, Sean retreated to a quiet woodland cabin, far away from prying eyes. There, he believed, the past couldn't come back to haunt him . . . until she showed up.
Overcome with guilt, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Krista Slater can't forgive herself for convicting an innocent man. But when another brutal murder reveals chilling, new facts about his case, she must turn to Sean for help. She's ready to face his anger, but the desire in his eyes ignites a need she's never felt before. Shadowed by danger, Sean and Krista uncover a twisted maze of deception and betrayal - all under the dangerous gaze of a cunning mastermind who will do whatever it takes to keep his evil secrets safe.

My Review:
Sean Flynn is recovering from a betrayal by a close friend and serving two years in jail. After his release he retreated to his grandfather's cabin to have a fresh start.
Krista Slater is overcome by guilt for putting Sean into the slammer and she can't forgive herself. When a promising witness gets in touch with her to meet she thinks she can right the wrong. When the witness misses the meeting and ends up dead she goes to her boss and mentor hoping he would help her. He tells her to leave it alone but she can't and heads where Sean Flynn now lives.
Sean is a different person after being in prison he doesn't want to feel any emotions, not panicking when in an enclosed room, the hurt betrayal by a friend he considered a brother Nate Brewster and the angry he feels towards a lawyer. He is shocked to see Krista arrive while he is chopping wood and asking about Nate Brewster.
Both of them don't know that Krista's investigation has put her on a hit list and they would do anything to keep their little secret a secret (even killing her). She has learned Nate wasn't working alone and his crimes were being covered up. When they are attacked Sean manages to save the day and they flee while trying to stay alive and figure out who is out to kill them.
Sean with the help of an Army friend have connections and it will take all they have to bring them down and to survive. When Krista crashed into his life she made him feel things he didn't want to feel that he wanted Krista for all eternity.
Krista has always been attracted to Sean and has felt drawn to him ever since they were in court, when he was sent to prison, when he was released and when she saw him chopping wood half naked. Even though he treated her badly at first she can't fight her feeling for him.
Sean and Krista were great together because they supported one another when they finally got together and their loves scenes were so HOT!
5/5
