Hasta la Vista, Lola!: A Lola Cruz Mystery [Hardcover]

I've finished "Hasta La Vista, Lola! the 2nd book in her Lola Cruz series by Misa Ramirez.

Product Description

When Lola comes home to her parents’ house to find a horde of relatives mourning her death, no one is more surprised than she is. The news had reported that one Lola Cruz, PI was found murdered in an alley, causing great alarm in the Cruz family. Before Lola can say “boo,” a cop comes to the house. It turns out the dead woman had a driver’s license with Lola’s information. Between avoiding an unsavory ex-boyfriend, sorting out mixed signals from the very interested but not yet committed Jack Callaghan, and filling in as a waitress at her parents’ Mexican restaurant, Lola tries to find out who the woman was and why she stole her identity. Was the woman hiding from someone who meant her harm, or is there someone out there who wants Lola dead?

My Review:

I highly recommend this series if you love your books very funny and light read with a sexy, unique and vivacious detective and a scorching hot newpaper reporter!

Lola is a black belt in kung fu who loves salsa dancing and Mexican food!  She has had a thing for Jack since high school and has pictures of him getting it on with a former girlfriend in the backseat of his car!  She really wants to get it on with Jack but he's tied to a former girlfriend Sarah.  Until he cuts his ties to her she won't sleep with him!

Jack has always had a crush on Lola since grade school but her brother warned him off.  He's really attracted to Lola but he's still sees his ex-girlfriend Sarah because ???????????

The romance between Jack and Lola is very steamy and off the charts!  I can't wait till they finally get it on!

Lola also has to deal with a very pushy ex-boyfriend which I wonder what she ever saw in him!!   Three years later she is also wondering what did she ever see in him!

4/5
