Manga Review: A Devil and Her Love Song, Vol. 5 [Paperback]

I've finished "The Devil and Her Love Song Vol. 5" by Moyoshi Tomori.
Product Description

Reads R to L (Japanese Style).

Meet Maria Kawai — she’s gorgeous and whip-smart, a girl who seems to have it all. But when she unleashes her sharp tongue, it’s no wonder some consider her to be the very devil! Maria’s difficult ways even get her kicked out of an elite school, but this particular fall may actually turn out to be her saving grace.

Maria finds herself liking her classmate Shin, but she can’t seem to tell him how she feels! Meanwhile, her old friend Anna comes back into her life with unexpected news. Is Anna really interested in rekindling their friendship or does she have an ulterior motive?

My Review:

Now the singing competition is finally over everyone is worried about failing their upcoming tests.  Maria gets good grades so she tutors Yusuke and Tomoyo.  Shin decides to practice piano by signing up for piano lessons at St. Katria Maria's old school.  While there he meets Anna Mouri, Maria's best friend there and she takes a liking to Shin.  Well they start off on the wrong foot at first.

Maria decides to wants to meet Anna again and when they meet face to face once again there isn't a fight.  Instead Anna sticks close to Maria and they act like nothing happened between them and they have lunch everyday with the rest of the gang.

Maria realizes Anna is being two-faced after they have a long talk.  She notices that Anna likes Shin but she warns her that she won't let her have him without a fight.

I really want Maria and Shin to get together because he gets and understands how she feels.  He doesn't want her to change her personality and has admitted he likes her.  Maria finally admits to herself she likes Shin but is confused and doesn't know how to act or tell him her feelings.  I really felt for her when she blundered that she loved him and she ran away in tears.

5/5
