Deadly Fear [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Deadly Fear" the 1st book in her Deadly trilogy by Cynthia Eden.

Product Description

TWO BRILLIANT AGENTS

FBI Special Agent Monica Davenport has made a career out of profiling serial killers. But getting inside the twisted minds of the cruel and the sadistic has taken its toll: She's walled herself off from the world. Yet Monica can't ignore fellow agent Luke Dante, the only man who ever broke through her defenses.

ONE DREAM TEAM

Luke has the unique ability to put victims at ease...professionally, he and Monica made a perfect team. Now they're reunited to catch a murderer who uses his victims' deepest, darkest fears for sport - but their investigative skills aren't enough. Luke and Monica will have to face the secrets from their past, the ones that terrify them the most, if they are to have a future together.

But can they catch a killer whose weapon is ... DEADLY FEAR

My Review:

I highly recommend reading this book if you love romantic suspense with great characters and a great storyline!

I don't want to spoil any spoilers!

Storyline:  I love romantic suspense with dark themes and this is one of them!  I find it interesting that both killers would do an in-depth investigation to find out their victims deep and darkest fears to get to them!

Characters:  Monica is a strong and confident heroine who can kick your ass (there is a reason why she is called the "Ice Queen"!) and who can really get into the minds of the killers.  Luke is a great hero because he's a man you would love to bring home to meet your mom and dad!  He courteous, smart and he treats Monica with love and respect, listens to what she says and doesn't push her too hard!

Romance:  I really enjoyed the romance between Monica and Luke because it was hot and steamy.  They both work well together in and out of bed!

Killer(s):  The original killer was quite smart, charming and sick!  His protegy is also smart, not very charming though and even more sicker than the original killer.  Both killers really do their research to find out what their victims's deepest and darkest fear(s) are!

5/5
