My Review:
Navy Seal John Roaker aka "Red Jack" has survived a mission gone bad
which has left him with amnesia and his best friend and swim partner
dead. Dr. Laurie Smith is the only one that can help him regain his
memories by using gentle and unconventional methods. He is wary of
therapists and is hurt and confused by his former teammates since they
won't communicate with him. Soon the relationship turns personal.
Dr. Laurie Smith is a "Seal Pup" and she is wary about getting involved
with a Seal because her dad was a drunken Seal who took off one day and
never came back. Jack knows it's unwise to get involved with a "Seal
Pup" especially one that is adopted by his CO Gich.
As Jack regains is memories and heals with Laurie's gentle touch he
realizes his team was set up to extract something the CIA lost.
Laurie was a strong heroine who could hold her own against an alpha
male. I liked her methods to heal and calm Jack but I thought the
sexual relationship happened too fast. I thought it was kind of strange
the first time that Jack went to see Laurie for the first time he
stripped naked!
4/5
