My Review:

Miko is a shrine maiden who can't see or sense any evil spirits though her family can.  Instead she has studied extremely hard to recognize and banish demons.  She is very dedicated to her family and her duties as a shrine maiden.

Kagura is an incubus that has preyed on Miko's fellow peers at her high school and she has sealed his powers and shrunk him to a tiny little chibi demon form.  Kagura was once the most powerful demon now he is powerless against stronger demons then him and can't turn back into his tall and handsome young self a lady killer.  Now that he is sealed in his tiny demon self all of the demons want to kill him and eat Miko to gather her strength and power.  Miko can't see their enemies unless she is holding chibi Kagura.  Even worse she can't remember the spell she used to seal Kagura's powers to transform him back to his former self.

When Miko is sleeping Kagura enters her dreams and seduces her to gain some strength back but Miko doesn't remember anything that has happened when she wakes up.  She is exhausted but is embarrassed for some reason she can't quite figure out.  She refers to Kagura as a pervy demon and thinks he has put a spell over her to make her fall in love with him.  She doesn't quite trust him even though he vows to protect her.

I would recommend this book for the 18+ group because of the sexual themes, violence, pervy thoughts and comments, kissing, etc.

This manga had beautiful artwork, the guys are gorgeous as usual, fast paced and the characters were very interesting and we got to see the real emotions of the characters too. 

I loved how Kagura has more than one characteristic and shows his softer side towards Miko but he also loves to annoy her in his chibi form.

My Review:

Samantha Jones is a single young mother who repos cars to provide a roof for her and her 4 year old son Tyler.  She never expected to find a beaten and cuffed man in the trunk of a BMW she is suppose to repo.  She is knocked unconscious and thrown in to the trunk with the FBI man Danny Panterro/Trey posing as Marco.

Danny/Trey/Marco believes this is the end when he is kidnapped from protective custody and viciously beaten almost till the inch of his life when he spots a beautiful and young women looking down at him.

When they escape Danny convinces Samantha to help him to safety with her Smith and Wesson.  Sam is very furious to be brought into this mess and just wants to get her son to safely.  When she arrives home she finds out her house been breached and her neighbor who is babysitting Tyler is brutally killed.  All of them are taken in protective custody and on the run from the viscous gangsters.

The relationship is slow building with a lot of sexual attention which concludes to a steamy love scene.

My Review:

Misao finds out that she is pregnant and she has new powers from the baby to protect both of them.  She realizes she needs to control it before it gets out of control.

Kyo and Misao convince her parents that both of them want to have the baby and she will finish school.  She has agreed to become Kyo's wife after graduation.

The assassination of the clan that Sho comes back to haunt them and there is a cliff hanger about the real fate of the Senko Maiden.

My Review:

This is a spin-off from Gena's Alien Huntress series so if you have read that you would be familiar with the terms AIR and Otherworlders.

Solomon Judah works as an black-ops agent who finds himself caged and bound in a circus zoo one day.  He has known love from his adoptive parents but everyone else calls him a freak or animal. 

Vika has grown up under the cruel hands of her father and he has beaten her so bad he has taken her hearing.  She treats the captives kindly but some of them taunt her and even throw stones, food, etc. at her. 

Solo was a great hero because he was big, strong, protective and Vika was a great heroine because she's smart, kind and how she coped and endeared the treatment she received from her father and a couple of Otherworlder captives.

My Review:

Erin Sims has been trying to prove her younger brother Justin isn't a murderer of a Senator's daughter.  She only has seven days before his execution to get solid proof and bring the real murder to justice.  She knows who the killer is and follows him to his new home under a new identity.

It has been 12 long years that Erin has been gathering information and collecting evidence against Jack Huggins aka Jack Calloway who has now settled in peaceful and quiet Hopewell Ohio.  When she arrives she is met by resistance and people who believe she is crazy as a loon.

Sherrif Nick Mann likes the quiet life he has with his daughter and his friends.  When he was in a cop in LA he had his share of the nightlife and the bright lights of the big city.  He has suffered a personal loss and the most excitement he sees now is the occasional drunk and disorderly and robbery.  He's not too thrilled when Erin crosses his threshold and brings the attention and catastrophe when she accuses one of Hopewells finest citizens.

Now young women on the verge of destruction are suddenly starting to disappear and it's bringing back memories and feelings that Nick thought were long ago dead.  Erin is in the middle.

This book is a well written psychological thriller which is plot driven and fast paced.  It's filled with lots of twists and turns with a smart, determined and independent heroine that can keep pace with the hero and keep him on his toes.

I launched The Book Asylum in October of this year.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

I absolutely love connecting with other book lovers, and chatting about our latest reads. Reading is a passion of mine, and it makes me so happy when I can share that passion with other like-minded people. Getting to know authors on a personal level is pretty awesome too!

What is your favorite book(s)?

This is such a tough question! I honestly don’t think I could name just one, so if you don’t mind I’ll throw out a handful in no particular order and you can take your pick… The Harry Potter series, The Sea of Tranquility, The Edge of Never, The Opportunist, the Experiment in Terror Series, A Matter of Fate, the Fever Series, Mila 18, the Song of Ice and Fire series, The Night Circus, Ready Player One, Winter Sea, State of Wonder, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Macbeth.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

I would say the best thing that has happened to me so far has been becoming an organizer of the Boston Author Event which is happening on March 16th, 2013. I adore the other two organizers – Cristina of Cristina’s Book Reviews, and Trish Patel Brinkley (huge fan) – whom I would have never met had it not been for book blogging. It’s pretty amazing to see what dedicated fans can do for the authors they love! As a book blogger, I’ve been able to connect authors with their readers in a meaningful way in the virtual world. Now, I’m excited to be able to do that in March in the real world!

I started blogging back 2009. My blog wasn't a book blog yet it was more of a "my hobbies" blog. But after couple of months blogging I sort of got tired and very busy at school so I decided to end it. After several years I found out about book blogs, which was this May 2012, and made one of my own. Actually I just renewed my old blog.

2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Meeting new friends and reading more books. You see because of book blogging I meet new friends- bloggers and authors, who also loves to read. With them I can share my obsession with books not like my friends in real life. I mean I do share my hobby with them but not that much. Also book blogging gave me an opportunity to read more books which I'm not well aware of before.

3. What is your favorite book(s)?

My all time favorite are The Harry Potter books. Recently The Mortal Instruments books has also made to my top ten favorite books ever.

4. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

My Review:

Once allies now Kouichi and Shijima seem to have a different agenda then Raimei and Banten regarding the revived Shimizu clan whose top priority is the destruction of the secret art.  Kotarrou Fuuma the Nabari's biggest nemesis is pulling all the strings while smiling to himself.

My Review:

Sabar Tavares has returned to the Gungi Rain forest after failing to kill the East Coast Faction leader Roman Reynolds and capturing Kalina.  He is determined to rule the human and shifter world by kidnapping Aryiola Serino who he believes she has the one ingredient that can help his drug cartel grow ever larger.

Aryiola is a Curandero or healer who has learned how to learning about and studying plants that will benefit her tribe.  She lets Sabar know that she wants nothing to do with his drug cartel while trying to find a way to escape.  She has longed for the one man who has captured her heart.

Dominick Delgado is the legal partner of Roman Reynolds by day and a lethal jaguar shifter by night who takes no mercy on any man or shifter.  When he finds out that Ary has been kidnapped he wastes no time to rush to the jungle to rescue her.  Ary has been the only women for him even though he can have any women or shifter he wants.

My Review:

Micah Jones is a new trainee at the King's family bounty-hunting agency.  His latest assignment is to bring in the night-club owner suspected of laundering money but when he meets the brainy and beautiful bookkeeper who resists arrest he almost loses his cool.  He takes her into custody and also into his arms and decides he doesn't want to let her go.

Maggie O'Mallery is questioned by the police but they let her go because they don't have any evidence against her.  Maggie hires Micah to track down the real culprit at the club.  A smoldering hot attraction ignites between them that turns into a smoking hot love affair.  Then a secret from Micah's past is discovered and exploited.

Micah is definitely a bad boy who has changed his ways at the end.  He is a wild man with a kinky quirk in the bedroom (Oh Boy one of the love scenes was very kicky and hot at the same time).  Maggie was able to handle herself with the big boys and was able to keep up with them.

My Review:

Alice Liddell finds herself in the Country of Hearts known as "an outsider" among the habitants.  She lives at Hatter Mansion and sometimes forget her host Blood is the Mafia head.  She is reminded when he shows violence against his loyal employee, the March Hare.  Elliot March has never known kindness and attention that Alice bestows upon him and her gentle ways fascinate him just like his rabbit ears fascinates Alice.

My Review:

Charlene Dugan is determined never to get married again after her disastrous marriage/divorce which she has kept for twenty-five years.  Then she utters the words "let's get married" to her new boyfriend Dennis.

Her daughter Stephanie's relationship with her boyfriend Grant seems to be on the verge of disintegration and she is jealous of her mom.  She wants to move back home which Charlie isn't too keen about.  Charlie is spending more time with her ex-husband Jake then Dennis her fiancee.  Dennis sees the wedding consultant more than her.

I didn't really like this cheating thing - Dennis didn't break up with Charlie before getting involved with the wedding consultant (Charlie caught them) and Charlie didn't break up with Dennis before falling into bed again with Jake.
