PNR Review: Darkness Bred (Chimney Rock) [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Darkness Bred" the 2nd book in her Chimney Rock series by Stella Cameron.

Product Description

Ever since shapeshifter Elin escaped to Whidbey Island, danger has stalked her every move. Her human traits, combined with her unique supernatural gifts, make her a prized being to be possessed or destroyed. It is only the passionate attraction she shares with werehound Sean Black that gives her hope for her future - if she can elude the lethal predators who are hot on her scent.

Sean knows that Elin, with her delicate beauty and seductive powers, is his one perfect mate. The woman who can restore his humanity and make him stronger than ever. He'll need that strength and more to protect her from those who wish to destroy him and everything he desires. For Sean carries a secret that binds him to an enemy from the past and to a darker, deadlier force - a malignant evil that is hunting the women of Whidbey Island.

My Review:

This book is about Seth Black and Elin's romance.  We learn more about Seth's background, past, how he became a werehound and his true feelings about Elin.

Elin has escaped from the Fey Queen who kidnapped her from her original kidnapper and she is learning who she really is and her powers.   She shares some with Seth while others she doesn't.

During their investigation uncovering who or what is killing the women of  Whidbey Island Elin returns to the Court of Angels in New Orleans
where she finally learns about her past.

This book is fast paced and complex full of passion with a couple of spirited woman who keep their men on their toes.

Love how Elin makes Seth feel her when she's in the next room!

Thanks Hachette Book Group Canada for sending me this book to review, greatly appreciated!

This sounds really good and I haven't even heard of this series before. I do love heroines that can keep their men on their toes though so this sounds right up my alley.

Thanks for the great review!
