My Review:

Lydia and Edgar have returned to London from their stint on the Isle of Manan.  They hear a story about a being called "The Fogman" who snatches children all over town.

We also follow a story about two cousins who were very close in their younger years.  They promised they would tell each other everything and if they kept a secret "The Fogman" would take them.  Now one of them is very jealous of their cousin because she is associating with Edgar.

Edgar takes Lydia to a carnival where he heard there is some fairy eggs.  When they arrive Lydia realizes the fairy eggs are fake when they exam them.  Also they start exploding and it seems like Lydia is the target.  Lydia sees a creature and it's surprised that she can see him.  Neko overhears the creature talking to the cousin and the evil plans she has concerning Lydia.  We also find out she has something to do with her cousin's disappearance.

This volume was even darker and more violent than the last two.  The villains in this one are more dangerous and sadistic.

4/5
