About the Author

My Review:

Kara Barton is a 40 yr. old wife and mother with a great law career.  She is married to a great guy and has a 10 yr. old daughter named Simone.  It seems like a perfect marriage but actually after Cal her husband had open heart surgery Kara feels her marriage is missing something. 

She meets Scott Ellesworth a playboy with tons of notches on his bed after months of arguing, unhappiness and keeping up the farce of keeping face.  Scott takes one look at Kara and is determined to make her his latest conquest.  Kara makes a hard decision to enjoy one night with passion with Scott but he wants more than one night.

I didn't really like Cal because I thought he was a neglectful father, bad tempered bully, loves his work more than his family and letting himself go as a middle age man.

I didn't really like Scott either because I thought he was sleazy and I hated the way he coerced Kara in doing things he wanted.  I'm glad that he isn't a bully or abusive to women and he did treat Simone and her dog decently.
