I've finished "Sugar Creek" the 2nd book in her Destiny series by Toni Blake.
Product Description
Welcome to Destiny, Ohio — where two families have been at odds as long as anyone in town can remember.
Rachel Farris returned to her childhood home with one mission in mind: get Mike Romo out of her family's apple orchard business and out of their lives. But hard-nosed and totally hot Mike, who happens to be the law in Destiny, is convinced the Farris clan stole the land from his family fifty years ago and he's not backing down. Even when shapely trouble shows up in a pair of designer blue jeans. However, neither the hunky cop nor the sexy prodigal hometown girl can anticipate the electricity that heats things up whenever they're together — adding new sizzle to an ongoing feud that's raged for generations, and soon putting both their hearts at risk.

My Review:
Rachel Farris hasn't returned to her hometown Destiny, Ohio for fifteen years. She's returned home because of her ailing grandmother needs help on the family's apple orchid. Rachel first meets Mike while speeding in the first few minutes back in town. He gives her a stern lecture and a very expensive speeding ticket but that doesn't distract her from noticing how hot he is. Too bad he's a Romo and the feud between their families has been on going for a long time as long as Rachel remembers.
Mike is very career oriented and takes his job very seriously. He hates speeders and he had a habit of giving Rachel a ticket every time he catches her speeding. He's a hometown boy and has a heavy guilty conscience that he can't find any true happiness. He also notices how hot Rachel is but because of their family feud won't admit his attraction to her at first.
Both of them have healthy sexual appetites and when finally get together it sure was steamy and hot (a cold shower anyone?). It was so much fun watching them insist that their relationship is just about sex and nothing more. At first it was a love-hate relationship and everyone is surprised that it turned into a love thing.
We also learn the backstory of the Farris and Romo feud which started with Rachel's grandmother Edna and Mike's grandfather Giavanni. This story was a really tear-jerker and I don't understand why guys think it's okay to sleep with other women when they have a fiancee at home waiting for them?
