Love You to Death (Mass Market Paperback)

I've just finished reading "Love You to Death" by Shannon K. Butcher.

Product Description

Delicate, expressive hands...long, graceful legs...One man is looking for his perfect woman--and he'll stop at nothing until he finds her.

LOVE YOU TO DEATH

It's been days since reporter Elise McBride has heard from her sister, Ashley. She's convinced Ashley has met with some kind of foul play, especially when she learns that bodies of other missing women have surfaced in and around Chicago--all victims of a brutal serial killer. Convinced her sister is still alive, Elise vows to risk everything to save her...

The last thing ex-cop Trent Brady needs is more blood on his hands. Yet when he catches Elise breaking into her sister's house, full of reckless determination and fear, he knows she needs his help. But just as desire ignites between them, a twisted madman sets his sights on Elise. Hell-bent on possessing her for himself, this psychopath won't rest until he has his perfect woman.

About the Author

Shannon K. Butcher learned to write from her husband, bestselling author Jim Butcher, as she helped him with his stories. Soon she found the idea of creating he own too compelling to resist and, after too many years workign as an industrial engineer, gladly left that career to write full time. Shannon lives in Missouri with her husband and son, where conversations at the dinner table are more often about fictional things than things that actually happened. You can contact her at her website, http://www.shannonkbutcher.com/.

My Review:

Storyline:  This storyline was quite different then what I have read in other romantic suspense books and he makes another victim watch him kill another victim. Didn't like he did to the women and how he did it and why!

Characters: I really enjoyed Elise and Trent's characters because they were both stubborn, level-headed and they both were well written.

Romance: I really enjoyed reading the romance between Elise and Trent because it was sweet and it reminds me of really life too.  I'm glad he didn't take advantage of her when she is in pain that her sister is missing and they built their relationship slowly.

Killer: The killer acted normally in his day job and no one would suspect him.  Unfortunately he was a nutcase and I'm glad he got what was coming to him (it was quite fitting).  I really enjoyed reading that part!  LOL!

5/5
