I've finished reading "Her Last Chance" the 2nd book in her Avalon series by Michele Albert.
Product Description
A WOMAN WHO'S AS TOUGH AS IT GETS
Compelled to leave the Dallas police force after killing a convicted rapist in a dark alley, tough and sexy Claudia Cruz becomes an operative with Avalon, a clandestine organization of mercenaries who recover stolen art. But her new career choice pits her against the darkly intense FBI agent Vincent DeLuca, who is determined that this time, Avalon is not going to beat out the Feds.
A MAN WHO'S HER MATCH AND MORE
While Claudia seethes about this irritating man who gives as good as he gets, Vincent is discovering there's a fine line between love and hate. And though Claudia is willing to use their crazy-hot attraction to achieve her goals, she never intended they'd end up in bed together. She's always lived on the edge and flirted with danger...but this time the worst danger may be to her heart.
My Review:
Storyline: There were three storylines and the first one was who was stealing expensive art pieces? The second one was who was after Vincent/Claudia and why? The third was trying to find where Von Lahr was and why Vanessa was with him. I enjoyed seeing old friends Mia, Will and Ben.
Characters: The characters were well written and you get to know them and care for them. You also find what motivates them to do what they do and why! Claudia is a take charge and don't mess around with me kind of women, who isn't afraid to use her sex appeal which she calls sexfu (sex + kung-fu) which distracts Vincent big time. Vincent is a caring and protective man who doesn't want to see Claudia get hurt and I'm glad that he didn't push Claudia into admitting her feelings because she wasn't use to it.
Romance: I loved the romance between Claudia and Vincent right from the get go because they are both attracted to each other but won't admit it at first! They like to bug each other and they both have some great lines! It's quite steamy before they get together and why they finally hit the sheets wow all I can say pages are off the scale!
Killer(s): The main killers were well written and they were smart and one ahead of both Vincent and Claudia. They were after Vincent because he put a brother in jail for drug trafficking and he was also the girlfriend of the other. They were very well organized on the plan of how to kill Vincent and where!
I recommend reading "Tough Enough" first because you won't know what is going on and who is who!
4/5
Thanks Maylene from Simon and Schuster for letting me review this book on my blog, greatly appreciated!

I will put this on my romance TBR list, it looks like it would hold my interest and be interesting. Plus I live in Dallas so I kind of like that part of it happens here.
