Mexican Food Recipe: Fried Plantains


2/3 cup sour cream
juice of 1 orange
1/4 cup sugar
1 large plantain
1/2 cup cooking oil

1.  Combine sour cream, orange juice and sugar in a small bowl. Refrigerate until serving.

2.  Slice the plantain on a diagonal to make large ovals.

3.  Heat oil in a large frying pan.

4.  Fry plantains in batches of 7-8 until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

5.  Plate by aligning several plantain chips in a small bowl. Drizzle with orange cream.

TIME: 30 minutes
