Big Easy Brownies


1 cup butter
3 square unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 eggs (slightly beaten)
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Stir in sugar and eggs and mix well. Add sifted flour and baking powder and stir. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour batter into greased and floured 9-by-13-inch baking pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
