If you are new to the FF fun, Feature and Follow Friday
is a blog
hop that expands your blog following by a
joint effort between
bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday
is now hosted by TWO hosts,
myself of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs! How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
Now to make this FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link above FEATURES and Features and Follow Friday and get on the waiting list! It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.
This Meme is hosted by Rachel from Parajunkee's View and Alison from Alison Can Read on Fridays.

When did you start blogging?
I began blogging April 2011. Before I started blogging, I had gone through a very silent phase of many years. I wasn’t reading much at all, I was mostly accumulating books. Then an event pushed me towards my love of books, again, thankfully. So I found my release, my escape, and also my peace in reading books. I began blogging, at first, as a way to express my love and passion of books, in its most basic sense – just writing my reactions and thoughts… for me. Last year, though, I started doing reading challenges and it has slowly developed into something I feel is a bigger part of me. It has become a full expression of who I am; a reflection of all that I love about the books. I have come to discover how much I belong in the book blogging world… I’m very fortunate to have also come to know the community of bloggers that are out there. Everyone has made my blogging time so much more fulfilling.
What is your favorite part of book blogging?
My favorite part of book blogging HAS to be WRITING REVIEWS. I love getting up every day with the thought of a prospective review. Writing a review means I get to read another new book, and best of all talk about it. I love books and I love writing reviews of books even more! It’s through the process of writing my reviews that I have come learn so much about the books I read, about life in general, and even about myself.
What type of books do you mainly blog about?
During the year of 2011 I was blogging a lot about Classics. Then in 2012 I started blogging more about new books as I was doing Book Tours. Then late 2012 and now this year more, I have come to expand my book base. I blog a lot about Literary Fiction, Science Fiction, Young Adult, and Science Books. Lately, I have found myself reading quite a lot of NonFiction, too.
What is your favorite book(s)?
Oh I have so many favorite books. First and foremost, I have to mention The Hunger Games! It’s this specific book that has inspired me in so many ways. Jane Eyre is one of my all time favorite novels. I’m also a huge fan of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Check out more of my FAVORITES!
What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
Oh there are so many great things… but the BEST thing HAS to be getting to know the large community of book bloggers I have come to be a part of. I blog every day realizing more and more how fortunate I am to know so many people that love books, to visit so many blogs that love to talk about books, and to have so many opportunities for free books and community events.

1. When did you start blogging?
I had my first post up the 3rd of April in 2012. My first review was on the City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. It wasn’t my best review (actually filled with spoilers, yikes!) but I definitely learned a lot from there on!
2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?
One of my favorite part of book blogging is actually reviewing the book and receiving the authors replies and/or feedback. Of course hearing from my followers is also a big plus and sharing each other’s thoughts, opinions and different perceptions is something I really love doing!
3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?
I mainly blog about books revolving around Young Adult books filled with romance, thriller, suspense and anything that will keep the pages turning! But I like to consider myself as an open person so when an author presents a book to me which is slightly outside of my genre preference, and it truly intrigued me, I would still really like to give that book a chance.
4. What is your favorite book(s)?
There are so many favorites that piled up throughout my blogging experience, but the ones that really left a big impression on me so far are (of course) The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins, Blood Red Road by Moira Young, Delirium by Lauren Oliver, and The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare.
5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
One of the best thing that has happened to me because of book blogging is actually finding a hobby that I love and enjoy spending time on doing. Book blogging, as any blogger know, takes an extreme amount of time out of your day, and I always say, life is short so you need to fill it up with things that you love and love doing. So I am happy that I have found that in book blogging and learned the things that I have learned and met the people that I have met!
Q: What is a book you didn't like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn't popular?
I really enjoyed "Dance With the Devil" by Sherrilyn Kenyon which I heard that people didn't really like. I love tortured heroes with a painful past.
I also really enjoyed "Ripper by Stefan Petrucha which I haven't heard or read much reviews.
