Follow My Blog Friday #225

If you are new to the FF fun, Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, myself of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Now to make this FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link above FEATURES and Features and Follow Friday and get on the waiting list!  It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.

This Meme is hosted by Rachel from Parajunkee Review and Alison from Alison Can Read on Fridays.

To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

1.  (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee and Alison Can Read}

2.  (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers

3.  Put your Blog name and URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.

4.  Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.

5.  If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed

6.  Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”.

7.  If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love and the followers.

8.  If you’re new to the follow Friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

The Feature: My Random Book Thoughts

When did you start blogging?

1) I just got the guts to start blogging this year. March 6, 2015 to be exact.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

2) My favorite part of blogging would be the perks that comes with it. Like getting ARCS. Author and publisher alike emailing me and allowing me to read their books for free in exchange for an honest review and lastly meeting fellow bookish people!

What type of books do you mainly blog about?

3) My blog is dominated by YA and its subgenres like paranormal, fantasy and Sci-fi. But I also blog about NA, MD and Adult.

What are your favorite books?

4) I have a lot of amazing favorite books. Shatter me series, Daughter of Smoke and bone, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Island of the Blue Dolphins. Actually there is no way I can just list this little but I just limit it to 5.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

5) It’s when I get to interact with bookish people because they are genuinely interested and appreciate it when I talk (or write) about books, unlike my real life friends who tends to awkwardly laugh and rolls their eyes when I started gushing and fangirling about books and fictional characters LOL.

Our Feature - Romance Dreamland Book Corner

1. When did you start blogging?

My first blog was created around May 2014 but because i had no clue about book blogging, that blog really had no direction. I would just post random thoughts on there and i didn't really promote it so maybe 2 or 3 people knew about it. I'm not sure how i never knew about bookstagram, booktube or book blogging till this year [2015] must have been living under a rock. But anyway May 2015 is when i started getting my blog ready for human consumption :)

2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Getting my thoughts on the books written up. Before blogging, when i finished reading a book, i would look like a crazy person talking to myself about whats happened. Whether I'm ecstatic or frustrated, i can now share my thoughts and feels with everyone that reads my posts

3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?

I mostly blog about books that i read, if there's no romance in a book I'm more than likely going to DNF. And I'm constantly reading so i try to only post about books I've actually read. You'll only know about my DNF's from Goodreads. I read nearly everything under the romance umbrella. And i do judge books by their cover and title, it has to draw my interest for me to pick it up out of the rest. So as long as there's a romance in the book, I'm interested to read and blog about it.

4. What are your favorite books?

Romance lol i do like some sci fi and fantasy and paranormal but they do need to have some sort of romance element to them. My go to genre is paranormal so my favourite books are anything by Nicky Charles, Milly Taiden and Suzanne Wright ( can you tell i like shifters).

5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

I'm usually shy and an introvert so it's hard for me to talk to people about anything. So getting to put down what goes through my mind after finishing a book without someone judging everything i say [type] is amazing. Also getting to be apart of this amazing community of readers, since i don't have many RL friends that read is cool too.

Question of the Week: Undiscovered talent - tell us about a book you loved but no one else seems to have heard of. It can be new or old, any genre. Let's spread the love. - Suggested by Becky's Barmy Book Blog

The Crimson Series by Trisha Baker

Meghann O’Neill once dreamed of having a child, but that was a long time ago. It was before she had been seduced into a relationship of pleasure and pain, excitement and torture. It was before she had been transformed into a vampire by Lord Simon Baldevar, the cruel sadistic creature that made her cater to his every dark whim and desire. It was before she managed to escape Simon’s clutches leaving him staked out for dead. It was before he returned forty years later to exact his revenge by killing Meghann’s mentor and kidnapping her human lover. It was before Simon held Meghann captive for one fateful night and forced her to conceive his child.

Now, Meghann is on the run not only from Simon, but any vampire that finds out she’s conceived the living Philosopher’s Stone. For centuries, vampires have believed the bred offspring of two vampires will not only enjoy eternal life, but have the ability to walk in daylight.

Meghann, determined to fight to the death, will let no one take her baby from her — especially its treacherous, dangerous father.

Crimson Kiss

Meghann O'Neill, a psychologist specializing in the treatment of victims of abusive relationships and a vampire! Meghann is an expert in abusive relationships. She knows exactly how her clients feel. She has also been seduced into a relationship of pleasure and pain, excitement and torture. Unlike her clients, her lover turned her into a immortal creature of the night, a vampire. Handsome, dashing, and sophisticated Simon Baldevar claimed to love her body and soul. He enslaved her in an endless cycle of passion and punishment, caresses and cruelty. A dark soul of shifting moods, he seduced her, dominated her, and damned her with nocturnal immortally. Over thirty years ago, Meghann finally freed herself by staking him out on a roof for the dawn to finish off. Not only did he survive, Simon is back and murdering the people Meghann has sworn to help. This time, Meghann has no intention of bending to his sadistic will. This time, Simon will find that his former servant is now a master in her own right!

Mikal Baldevar - The legendary living Philosopher's Stone and a murderous sociopath! Simon Baldevar and Meghann O'Neill have twins, Elizabeth and Mikal. Elizabeth is a mortal, loving, and normal child while Mikal is his father's son. Simon and Meghann separated in order to keep their children safe; he to an isolated Highland island with their vampiric son and Meghann to New York to raise their human daughter. Eighteen years later, despite Simon's best efforts to raise his son, there are serious issues. In fact, Mikal has absolutely no sense of right or wrong, nor any sense of pleasure or pain. He's a true sociopath in every sense of the word. To Simon's dismay, Mikal leaves home on a murderous rampage. Simon originally got Meghann pregnant to produce the legendary living philosopher's stone, knowing that his vampire child would possess powers that other vampires could only dream of, including the most fearful of all, Mikal is able to walk in daylight. Now, Simon Baldevar is faced with the most horrifying of choices; be a loving father or a ruthless killer. Either way, he must face what he has unleashed upon the world.

Lord Simon Baldevar knew that vampires would walk in daylight once the offspring of two vampires was born. A child whose intermingled blood excised of the weaknesses that kept the immortals ensnared in darkness. Determined to see sunlight again and heedless of the consequences, Simon forced his unwilling consort, Meghann O'Neill, to conceive his progeny. Now, Meghann lies completely at Lord Baldevar's mercy trapped in a coma brought on by premature labor. One man is determined to save Meghann and her child if it survives, her former lover and recently transformed vampire, Jimmy Delacroix. Jimmy knows his newfound immortality is no match for Simon's centuries-honed strength, but vows to help Meghann. His only allies are the ghost of a vampire monk and a paranormal investigator, Harper Lupeni. Ms. Lupeni has no idea her newest client is a vampire or how much danger she is truly in. Soon, Jimmy and Harper will discover she has her own long buried, terrifying link to Lord Simon Baldevar, his ancient enemy, Isabelle.
