Follow My Blog Friday #168

If you are new to the FF fun, Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, myself of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Now to make this FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link above FEATURES and Features and Follow Friday and get on the waiting list!  It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.

This Meme is hosted by Rachel from Parajunkee's View and Alison from Alison Can Read on Fridays.

To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

1.  (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee and Alison Can Read}

2.  (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers

3.  Put your Blog name and URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.

4.  Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.

5.  If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed

6.  Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”

7.  If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love and the followers.

8.  If you’re new to the follow Friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

Our Feature is My Little World – Books ‘n’ Things!!!!

When did you start blogging?

I suppose I’m kind of a newbie compared to some as I only started book blogging in March this year. But from the moment I started, I became obsessed and I love it!

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

I have to say all of it. I love talking books books and more books with other people. Hardly any of my family or friends read or read the same kinds of books as me so I rarely get chance to chat with them and squee about a great book I’m reading, so I get to do that through blogging. And I’ve met some really lovely people because of it. I also love that I get to discover so many books I may never have seen if it wasn’t for blogging.

What type of books do you mainly blog about?

Mainly paranormal Romance and Urban fantasy with some YA thrown in too. These are the books that I’m most passionate about so I tend to stick to those genres. But I do read the odd chick lit and contemporary romance so I may post about those now and again.

What are your favorite books?

Ooh hard one! There are so many. I really could be here all day. I absolutely love Jeaniene Frost so her Night Huntress series is probably my favourite series out of all of them. I have a real big soft spot for Bones. (Yes that means I fancy the pants off him!). I also love The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. I can’t get enough of those sexy brothers! But I’ve just read a book called The Scribe by Elizabeth Hunter and absolutely loved it. I haven’t actually cried from reading a book for a while but that one got me. She has a fantastic series called The Elemental Mysteries which is also up there in my favourites list.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Writing my first novel. I started to write this particular book nearly two years ago but kept putting it away. I was writing it more for myself than anything else because I never really thought anyone would want to read it. But blogging gave me the inspiration I needed to get it finished and the confidence to get it out there. So because of that Awaken (Divine Hunter#1) is due for release on 19th November and I’m extremely excited about it!!

Our Feature - Defiantly Deviant

1. When did you start blogging?

I started last June 2012. It's been more than a year since then and I honestly couldn't be happier!

2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?

I love interacting with anyone who reads, so talking to readers, bloggers, and authors, is something that I really love doing.

3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?

Anything YA (but I do tend to review contemporary and paranormal books more), and recently, I've been featuring more and more NA novels.

4. What are your favorite books?

Ooooh tough one - I have a lot! The Harry Potter series, the Vampire Academy series (I adore Richelle with every fiber of my being), Easy by Tammara Webber, You Look Different in Real Life by Jennifer Castle... Yup, if I don't stop now, I don't think I will.

5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Meeting people who share the passion I have towards books and reading itself, definitely. Through book blogging, I've met a whole community of fellow bloggers here in the Philippines, and they've made my entire blogging experience all that much fulfilling! *Waves* Also, reading and blogging are such huge parts of my life, and getting to share these parts of myself with all of my fellow bloggers - be they be Filipino or not - has made me all that much happier and content.

Q: What are some of your favorite magazines?

I don't read much magazines but occasionally check these out:

Kraft Canada
TV Times

Any cooking magazines
Pet magazines

I don't read magazines at all, and if I do, it's just the trashy ones!
