To earn that chance, though, the man now known as Ash must use the supernatural abilities with which he has been infused to prevent the deaths of other innocents. My Review:
Private Detective Ash was wrongfully executed for crimes he didn't commit he is brought back to life. To earn his second chance at life he must use his supernatural abilities to prevent the execution of other innocent lives. He is also out for revenge against the ones who destroyed his life and his loved ones.
This manga is more geared towards the guys because of the violence and creepy bad guys. This was a very fast paced full of non-stop action and violence. There is a really psychotic and creepy bad guy that loves to say "do you want to play?" He also likes to cut people with his sharp knife.
Ash wants revenge against the baddies who ruined his life and his sister's by drugging her and she seems to be in a coma. I love his superpowers and how he is able to use them to his advantage. He is being supervised by an angel and there is a code they aren't allowed to kill anyone or else they are punished and lose their powers.

PNR Review: The Guardian (Dream-Hunter) [Mass Market Paperback]
I've finished "The Guardian" the 5th book in her Dream-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Product Description
Dream-Hunter Lydia has been charged with the most sacred and dangerous of missions: To descend into the Nether Realm and find the missing god of dreams before he betrays the secrets that could kill her and her kind. What she never expects is to be taken prisoner by the Realm’s most vicious guardian …
Seth’s time is running out. If he can’t hand over the entrance to Olympus, his own life and those of his people will be forfeit. No matter the torture, Seth hasn’t been able to break the god in his custody. Then there’s the beautiful Dream-Hunter Lydia: She isn’t just guarding the gates of Olympus — she’s holding back one of the world’s darkest powers. If she fails, an ancient curse will haunt the earth once more and no one will be safe. But evil is always seductive ...

Language: English
ISBN-10: 0312550057
ISBN-13: 978-0312550059
My Review:
Seth is half-Egyptian God but both his parents banished him. He was then adopted by a tribe of jackals who then betrayed him to the primordial god Noir for a . He has been punished and tortured for centuries to the point of death.
Noir has ordered Seth to torture Dream-Hunter Solin to get him to tell him where the key to Olympus is. Solin is rescued by his daughter Lydia who is half Kattagarian and half Dream-Hunter. She then becomes Seth's prisoner which forces Solin to go get the key. While in captivity Lydia learns why Seth acts the way he does, falls in love with him and wants to show him that love can conquer all.
I really felt for Seth the daily tortures he went through and I thought Zarek had it bad. He's broken and always suffering pain from his injuries. Glad to see Zarek made an appearance in this book (always happy to see him). Also a cameo arrival at Sanctuary which characters we love also make an appearance.
Lydia is such a strong heroine because she's strong, can take care of herself and a smart-ass. She didn't take any flak from Seth and would show him that not everyone is out to get him.
Really enjoyed the more information we found about how Nick's and the Malachai role in taking over the world is incorporated.
We also learn how Menyara, a.k.a., Ma'at, the Egyptian goddess of justice is associated with Seth.
I thought this book was a wonderful blending of the dark and the Dream Hunter world.
5/5

Sleepwalker [Hardcover]
Product Description
It’s not that Micayla Lange is afraid of the clinking she hears coming from the first floor of the empty McMansion she’s housesitting for her uncle Nicco. She’s a cop, after all. It’s just that finding out her boyfriend was cheating on her was enough drama for one night. Now she’s alone on New Year’s Eve, wearing flannel pajamas and wielding a Glock 22 as she zeroes in on the unmistakable source of the sound: Uncle Nicco’s private office. Jason Davis steals things for a living, so unexpected developments are a natural part of the job. Getting caught red-handed by a hot, pigtail-sporting police officer in what is supposed to be a gangster’s deserted house is just one more twist in the game. Kind of like finding incriminating photos in Nicco Marino’s safe, only to discover the cop — and the security cameras — have gotten a real good look at his face. Unfortunately for Mick, she also got a good look at the damned pictures. Her “uncle” might love her like family, but if he knows she’s seen evidence that implicates him in the murder of a city councilman, she doesn’t like her chances. Which is why she’s having a hard time reconciling her professional instincts with what she is rapidly concluding is an inescapable fact: She’s about to help a criminal get away with a suitcase full of stolen money. And she’s going with him. Mick and Jason’s race for their lives hurtles them through the dangerous Michigan wilderness on speedboat and snowmobile. As their adventure heats up and their enemies close in, Mick is torn between her duty to the force and the combustible passion engulfing her and her unlikely partner in crime. She’ll have to turn Jason in sooner or later . . . if they survive. But will they ever get a second chance at love?

As his window for solving both crimes narrows, Alex makes a desperate decision that goes against everything he believes -- one that may alter the fate of the entire country. KILL ALEX CROSS is faster, more exciting, and more tightly wound than any Alex Cross thriller James Patterson has ever written!

Books Are Vital
She loves hot and spicy food, 80′s movies and dinosaurs.
She actually decided to apply for med school and got in. She’s about to start her third year there and has never been happier. When naive strangers ask Melannie how is it possible that she has time to read FOR PLEASURE while also being in Med School, she always answers with the same sentence: BOOKS ARE VITAL. You can’t go on everyday without them, so you better find time for them. So if you ever happen to see her in person, don’t be scared of the huge purpuish bags under her blood-shot eyes, she probably comes from an all-night date … with her 1000 - something pages med books.
Hey! I'm Hannah and I am addicted to buying books. I adore being able to open a book and lose myself in worlds filled with dragons and magic. Fantasy is my favourite genre though I’m willing to give almost anything a read, I just look for a good, well-written story. As well as fantasy I enjoy historical fiction, paranormal, chick lit, and contemporary fiction. I like anything that’s a little bit otherworldly and preferably quirky. My favourite books are 1984, The Book Thief, and A Game of Thrones, and I pretty much grew up on Harry Potter.
I love blogging because it gives me a chance to keep writing (I'd like to write my own novel 'one day') and communicate with people with the same interests as myself, and more times than not, I've found that these people are absolutely awesome.
Question of the Week: When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)
Depends on the book. If I really enjoy it I would hoard it and if I didn't really care for it I would either give it away or donate it.

How to join in:
You should run a book blog that features and reviews mostly adult reads, some Y.A.’s are okay but 18 & Over adult reads should be your majority.
Make a separate post for the 18 and Over Book Blogger Follow on your blog.
Copy the html for the button above and place it at the top of your post.
List and answer the ‘Question of the Week.’
Place your name and blog title in the linky below and the url for a direct link to your post
Visit the other blogs on the list. If you like what you see make sure to leave a comment and follow so the blog owner knows you stopped by and can return the favor. Following each blog is not mandatory but I know it is always appreciated, and if someone comments saying they’re a new follower it’s polite to follow back. It’s always nice to spread the 18 and Over Book Blog love!
Question of the Week:
Who popped your erotic cherry? ;) What was the first erotic or erotic romance book you read? And if you don't read erotica, what book had the first graphic love scene that you read?
I don't read many erotic romance books but the first one I read was "Behind Closed Doors" by Shannon McKenna. Though I have to admit the first adult book would have to be "Sweet Savage Love" by Rosemary Rogers during my tween years.

AN ANIMAL PASSION ...

Now they have to deal with their attraction to each other while dodging the mafia.

Terry is currrently touring to promote her new book Dreaming of the Wolf.
Please take it away Terry!
When the World is Not Exactly Normal
By Terry Spear
I love creating fantasy worlds, whether all fantasy as in an old world environment, or urban fantasy where the paranormal characters live in a contemporary setting.
In either case, you have to build your world, and stick to it. I remember writing one of my wolf stories and reading part of it to my daughter and she said, “Aren’t the wolves supposed to turn back into their human forms after they die?”
“Yes, of course. Absolutely.” I had forgotten. It had been sometime since I had written the first and I had really forgotten! But it was one of the old werewolf rules that I wanted to include in my stories.
Werewolf rules. Okay, where is it written that werewolves all behave in a certain way? Some actually will argue that there are written rules for werewolf behavior. (Some will say the same about vampires.)
I’d like to know where they got their real live research from. You see, that’s what is fun about creating paranormal characters. We can make them the way we want to. As long as we abide by our own rules!
I do a lot of research though, both about wolf behavior and werewolf lore and love to include these tidbits in the wolf series. Did you know that werewolves were as persecuted in France as witches were during medieval times? I didn’t know that!
I have to say that those who confessed to being werewolves were not really. No werewolf in his right mind would admit to such a thing. Ever. You can read about it in Legend of the White Wolf.
Do you know what good wolfsbane is when it comes to werewolves? This is one of those instances when writers could not agree on the rules. So I made up my own. Based on the truth.
Because my werewolves are real, I get the real story. You can read more about it in Wolf Fever.
What happens when a werewolf falls in love with a human? Disaster. Or not. But the human has to want to be a werewolf. The problem with that is that werewolves can’t let any human know what they are. So if you found the love of your life, what do you do? You have to live without, that’s what.
Or not. In Dreaming of the Wolf, Jake Silver from the Dreaming of the Wolf gray pack of Silver Town, Colorado, falls in love with a female bounty hunter, human type, and knows that nothing can come of it. What if she has family? What if she doesn’t take well to being a wolf? What if the pack leader, his older brother says no?
Though Jake was born as a wolf, and wouldn’t want it to be any other way, he couldn’t/wouldn’t change Alicia for the world. And yet … he can’t get her out of his dreams. She’s reaching out to him … and he wants to take her back and keep her.
But the only way to do that is if she’s a wolf like him.
So what would you do if the hunky man you meet is the one for you, makes all the right moves, loves you like no other, promises you forever…if only…you were a wolf!
Thanks so much for dropping by and saying hi today! And happy holidays!
