Manhwa Review: Very! Very! Sweet, Vol. 4 Paperback

I've finished "Very Very Sweet Vol. 4" by Ji-Sang Shin and Geo.

Tsuyoshi and Be-Ri's charade has Grandfather convinced, but it's just a bit too convincing for Erica and Mu-Hyuk. Forming a coalition of their own, the pair is determined to prevent Tsuyoshi and Be-Ri from becoming anything more than business partners. Meanwhile, Gyu-Ri and San-Ne are on the rocks as Gyu-Ri's unfaithfulness becomes increasingly apparent. Be-Ri watches their relationship crumble before her eyes, her heart filled with concern for the suffering San-Ne. It could be an opportunity to make her move, but as much as she cares for him, does she really want her true feelings out in the open at a time like this?

About the Author

Ji-Sang Shin and Geo are the creative team behind a number of popular manhwa titles, including Very! Very! Sweet, Chocolat, Rolling, and Sad Love Story.

My Review:

Gyu-Ri and San-Ne relationship is on the rocks when it becomes quite obvious that she is being unfaithful which forces Be-Ri to finally break down and start crying.  I definitely could feel her pain and anguish (especially with an older sister like Gyu-Ri what a piece of work who treats her like a servant and also the way she also treats San-Ne).

We finally learn the truth about Tsuyoshi's birth and the unfortunate events of what happened.  It's a tragic tale because his grandfather drove his son away and took Tsuyoshi from Ito's older sister which resulted in her killing herself.

4/5

Thanks Hachette Book Group Canada and Yen Press for sending me this manhwa to review, greatly appreciated!
