I am so excited to have Roxanne St. Claire here at Paranormal and Romantic Suspense Reviews with a Guest Post.
Thanks Roxanne and Jihan for allowing me to join your Barefoot in the Sun blog tour!
Please take it away, Roxanne!
Roxanne’s 5 fun facts about BAREFOOT IN THE SUN
1. Egyptian Rat Screws (Zoe's favorite card game) is also my favorite card game and always, always brings out the worst in me. My personal goal is to play the entire game without swearing and I've never reached that goal.
2. I would rather tear my fingernails off with a pair of pliers than ride in a hot air balloon, so I didn't actually do this for research, but talked to a lot of people who have.
3. I based the "dog store" in the mall on a real place where my daughter and I go and ooh and aw over the puppies, which is our absolute favorite place in the mall. Well, it was until she turned 14 and discovered Hollister.
4. I honestly didn't know how this book was going to end. Yes, I knew the ending would be happy, but the outcome of some of the subplots was decided at the keyboard, as I wrote.
5. I wrote the scene where they walk the beach when Zoe's wearing a sheer white dress and Oliver rolls up his pants after I saw the cover and I wanted to incorporate that image!
Barefoot in the Sun (Barefoot Bay) [Mass Market Paperback]
A Barefoot Bay Novel
When running is all you've ever known
Caught between fight and flight, Zoe Tamarin has always picked flight. Since she was rescued from a nightmare childhood by her great-aunt Pasha, they've been on the move, never staying in one place long enough to risk exposing their precarious past. But now that they've reached the sun-baked shores of Barefoot Bay, Zoe may have to stay and fight-for her aunt's life and for a love she ran from years before.
Sometimes the bravest act of all is to stand still.
Oliver Bradbury came to Florida to start over, as both a doctor and a father to his eight-year-old son. He never expected life to hand him a second chance with the woman he lost years ago - but one look at Zoe Tamarin and he knows he'll do whatever it takes to prove that this time, he can be the man she needs. But when demands of family and friendship threaten to shatter their rekindled passion, Oliver must heal Zoe's lifelong wounds with more than hot kisses but will that be enough to keep her from flying off with his heart?
