Follow My Blog Friday #123

If you are new to the FF fun, Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, myself of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Now to make this FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link above FEATURES and Features and Follow Friday and get on the waiting list!  It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.

This Meme is hosted by Rachel from Parajunkee's View and Alison from Alison Can Read on Fridays.

To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

1. Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host {Parajunkee.com} {Alisoncanread.com}and any one else you want to follow on the list.

2. Follow our Featured Bloggers - Paranormal Romance and Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.

3. Put your Blog name and URL in the Linky thing.

4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments

5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can

6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love ... and the followers

When did you start blogging?

I started blogging a long time ago, maybe 2 or 3 years ago. I started blogging to give me something to do at work when I was bored. I absolutely NEVER expected that I would stick with it. I am a typical Aries, I get bored quick and move on but blogging has managed to stick!

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

My favorite part of book blogging is the community and find new great reads from visiting other peoples blog. I don’t know that I would have picked up more than half of the books that I have if it hadn’t been for the book blogging community. And lets face it the free books is pretty cool too! LOL

What is your favorite book(s)?

My favorite series is the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole! I LOVE it! Kresley Cole can do no wrong in my eyes. I even liked her young adult title Poison Princess. If you are curious about the Immortals After Dark series I am giving away the first full length title of the series “A Hunger Like No Other” and it’s SIGNED! You can sign up below. =)

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Meeting so many great peeps has been the best part of book blogging for me!

1. When did you start blogging?

I started blogging on April Fools Day 2009!

2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Wow! Great Question. My favorite part of book blogging is meeting other bloggers who share the same passion in reading as I do. I thought I was only the person with overstuffed bookshelves, but I was wrong. There are many dedicated book bloggers/reviewers on the web and I would have never known anything about them if it wasn't for blogging.

3. What is your favorite book(s)?

Six-Horse Hitch by Janice Holt Giles and The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson are my favorite books, but I also like reading anything by Stephen King, James Patterson, John Saul and R. L. Stine.

4. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Getting advanced review copies from major publishing houses is a real plus to book blogging. I had the opportunity to review books from independent authors. Recently I've had the chance to expand my blog by reviewing DVDs, T-shirts, and other products from companies and PR groups.

Q: Do you mind books with similar ideas to other books? Similar concepts, backgrounds, retellings or pulled-to-publish fanfic?

No it doesn't really bother me but I will think hey this book sounds just like this one I read!

Hopping through. I don't mind similar ideas either as long as it doesn't feel just like copying.

Yep, very similiar here. I don't mind, as long as it's not copying or plain boring. :)
