Follow My Blog Friday #108

If you are new to the FF fun, Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, myself of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Now to make this FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link above FEATURES and Features and Follow Friday and get on the waiting list!  It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.

This Meme is hosted by Rachel from Parajunkee's View and Alison from Alison Can Read on Fridays.

To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

1. Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host {Parajunkee.com} {Alisoncanread.com}and any one else you want to follow on the list.

When did you start blogging?

I started almost a year ago, but I went MIA for a while in between those months. Overall? Just a couple of months.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Meeting new bloggers & receiving comments from other people. I love meeting new bloggers because when I follow them, I’m branching out my awareness of what books to read that I would’ve never considered or come across and what to look forward to when it comes to new releases (that I haven’t even heard of yet).

What is your favorite book(s)?

I’m so glad you made that plural because any book lover wouldn’t really have just ONE favorite book … right? I can’t decide. I love everything by Karen Marie Moning & Kristen Ashley. Megan Hart is my favorite author to go to when I need a deep soulful book…and a good cry.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Well, I can add being featured on Parajunkee on the list now :0) I mentioned meeting other bloggers (or book lovers in general), but meeting/talking to authors! To a book lover, they’re our version of celebrities so that has been an awesome experience for me.

Concise Book Reviews

1. When did you start blogging?

I started about 3 months ago actually.

2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?

I love being able to discuss books with other book lovers like me. No one in my home life likes to read like I do. Except my daughter, but now she reads less since she got older and has a boyfriend. (she is 19, so too cool to talk books with mom now) also the new discoveries I have found from my fellow bloggers.

3. What is your favorite book(s)?

That list would be very long, so I will just mention my top ones, lol.

All CassandraClare’s The Mortal Instruments Books, and Infernal Devices.

Jeannie Frost’s Night Huntress Series

And a fewnew books I really love are: Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Covenant series, and her Lux series.

The list could go on, but by looking around my blog you can see what I like for sure.

4. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Mainly some of the new friends I have met, and really appreciate the books I get to review, as my money situation is not good, so buying books was hard for me, I had to save what little I would get to buy books, and trade off what I did have, for new ones. I love that I can get a book for a review, granted many are ones I may not ever have discovered if I was not asked to review, but have found some books I really liked and enjoyed, and am eager for the sequels, so I think that overall is one thing I really like, is the new discoveries.

Q: Summer Reading. What was your favorite book that you were REQUIRED to read when you were in school?

I didn't have a favorite book that I was required to read in school.  They were all Shakespearean books and I'm not really into that.

I also did a bunch of Shakespeare's plays. Thankfully I enjoyed them. I am a new follower. You can find me at:

I guess if Shakespeare was the only required reading, I wouldn't be all that interested either. LOL My pick was The Lottery by Shirley Jackson. Love your blog!

New follower :) Happy FF!
